Just back from a stay in this hotel. Have stayed in many self catering apartments in Soldeu but this stands out a mile in front. Staff were excellent very friendly and accomadting. Nothing was ever too much trouble bent over backwards for us. As for the food top class ate here nearly every night as it's the best food in Soldeu! Brucie is a genius in the kitchen! The early bird menu is well worth the money it's an absolute bargain! Would highly recommend this hotel we will definitely be booking this hotel again.

“Brilliant location”

We stayed here for the Xmas holidays and the new year 2012, We had a one bedroom apartment, with a brilliant view of the mountain slopes from our balcony
This hotel is in a perfect location just a few minutes walk from the Gondola's,ski lifts and all the local bars
The apartment was very well equipped, spacious and very clean, also in the room is a TV and a dvd player of which you can rent a dvd from Andorra Travel Services which is also only 2 minutes away.
The restaurant in the hotel (The Merlot) has the most superb food, and has to be the best food in Soldeu, and at very reasonable prices, The restaurant gets booked up quick, so make sure you book.
Overall a very efficient and well run hotel and we will definitely be returning.

“Greatb Accomodation with friendly staff”

I stayed here in march 2011 with my 2 teenage children. We had a one bedroom apartment which was spacious with a great balcony over looking the mountain. The apartment was wel equipped including cleaning equipment. Great to be easily be able to control the heating in the apartment from a little dial on the wall.

The hotel was just far enough away from the centre of the resort not to get any noise but easy walking distance from centre and ski gondola. (it was easier to rent a ski locker by the gondola but there are free lockers in the basement of the hotel). We did find a little noise from neighbouring apartments but nothing too bad.

The breakfast was an good fresh cold buffet type breakfast. We ate in the restaurant on a couple of evenings and the food was absolutely fabulous. Probably the best food in the village. There is free Wifi available in the hotel but could only get connection in the, hallways, reception or dining room. Would be better if you could get it in the rooms (we were on the third floor)

The resort is quite small but the ski area is vast with a good selction of runs for all levels that are well maintained. Would highly reccomend the hotel and the resort.

I have to agree with previous comments - Andorra Travel Services laid on excellent private transfer, which made a stress free start of the holiday.

The resort is much smaller than I thought, whilst the hotel is on the fringe it takes no more than 5min to walk to the lifts and we heared no noise from any late night party-goers.

The evening meals at the hotel were top notch and if you pay a supplement you can have a pretty good "full english breakfast" to start the day. The chefs were always able to cater for my fussy children!

The hotel is very clean, with little extra such as DVD player, Iron/board, Hairdryer and even washing up liquid supplied.

I would difinately consider going back to the hotel, can not think of any faults.

“Nice apartments in a good location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2011

We have just returned for a week long ski trip to Soldeu, our second visit to this resort. It won't be our last visit! We were a party of four, husband wife and two sons in early 20's. We had a one bed apartment.

The bedroom was a good size with a full wardrobe and drawers for storage. The room opened on to a balcony. The sofa beds in the living room were already made up for our arrival, which was a nice touch. This room also opened on the the south facing balcony, looking directly over the slopes.

The kitchen, off the living room, was stocked with everything you could need, including a toaster and kettle (not always provided elsewhere!). Unlike previous reviewers, we did have tea towels provided and full cleaning kit. The bins were emptied mid-week.

The bathroom was a good size with a shower in bath arrangement. Towels were changed midweek.

Heating was very efficient and could be adjusted by a dial on the wall. TV and DVD player were provided. There were two English speaking channels.

The standard of furniture was good and we all found the beds, both sofa and conventional, to be comfortable. We all slept well and there was little of the intrusive noise that sometime accompanies ski apartments, although it was a quiet week in the resort.

Breakfast was continental, of a good standard with a wide variety of choice. A cooked breakfast was available at a supplement but we didn't avail so I cannot comment.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient.

Two suggested minor improvements. One is a set of wall hooks to hang coats and the second would be the addition of a bench in the ski locker area.

Overall, we really liked this apartment. We were on the third floor. We would certainly return without hesitation.
