We booked this hotel as a package with the Caldea spa, so didn't actually know any details in advance but just requested a "four star plus" hotel. Unfortunately, it didn't really meet this standard. It was not easy to find even though we had the address and satnav, we still had to stop and ask (I fortunately speak a very little bit of Spanish, as I don't think English is widely spoken in Andorra unlike other parts of mainland Europe).

The hotel has an underground car park which is essential as there is not much parking available elsewhere. The attendant asked for our car keys, which we would rather have kept ourselves, but he didn't speak English or understand my poor attempts at Spanish or French so we just handed them over, but no form of receipt was provided. We only stayed one night and the next day asked for the keys which were returned without question by a different attendant, so he would not even have known us from the previous day. Presumably, you could ask for the keys for any car you like!

The hotel reception was good and the reception staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. But the room was not to the same standard. Although the room was large, furniture and fixtures seemed quite dated and the double bed was actually two singles pushed together. The bathroom was ok, but again dated.

We didn't eat in the hotel, but there are lots of restaurants and bars within just a few minutes walk and alcoholic drinks are very cheap in Andorran bars! There is also lots of good shopping and I would recommend a visit to the Caldea spa.

Location of the hotel was great, just off the main street in Escaldes and only a 10 minute walk to the center of Andorra la Vella. Getting to the ski slopes was not difficult at all, 10 minutes by bus and we were at the gondola. Breakfast exceeded expectations and the rooms were decent...heating wasn't good and there was no view at all.

Reception was nice and helpful, they provided us with a 10% discount for ski equipment rentals at a place that is just by the funicamp (gondola). Best way to get there is either by bus (L2) or by driving - parking at the funicamp is not much more expensive than the bus fare.

We have one big complaint about the whole experience - the parking. We left our car at the hotel garage, which charged 18 euros per day. Therefore, we expected to get decent service for this fee, but found that our car had been dented. Nothing was mentioned to us about the accident. Before leaving the hotel we were fortunate enough to realize what happened and the situation was dealt with, but we still had to pay.

I expected a better hotel. I got a very small room with a small bed, but my friends got a better room. The heat in my room didnt work properly, the temperature wasnt constant and got cold in the morning. The room decoration was old and antiquated. The staff was friendly and the hotel is well located if you want to go shopping by foot in Les Escaldes or Andorra la Vella. It also has a very near cyber café. I dont recommend this hotel.
