When we arrived good advice from a staff member was to park in the car park opposite which was cheaper than the hotel. On the plus side, the hotel was much bigger than we expected in a brilliant location. The buffet breakfast was good with plenty of choice although, as we found common on our travels, the hot food was always cold. We had an attic room which overlooked the apartment across but adequate for 2 nights. The bathroom was surprisingly big and modern. Our stay there was cheaper than we expected. Escaldes is a lovely place with a great atmosphere and good shopping. On the minus side, some renovations wouldn’t go amiss, the bar was always closed and staff were thin on the ground for ordering drinks, the bloke in reception was dour and unhelpful, smoking was allowed in the breakfast room and weirdest of all – shops selling every deadly weapon you could imagine!

The Roc Blanc in Escaldes is nicely situated at the main shopping street of Andorra and close to the termal bath of Caldea. It houses a small and nice thermal spa as well (but it tends to get full easily). The rooms are nice and clean, the breakfast buffet is rich in joice. The main drawback is, that they allow smoking even in the breakfast room. I found this very disturbing. Parking is very expensive.

STD rooms are comfortable& good, but lack the finishing touches. must upgrade to superior rooms. telephone hotel direct for best deal, anything around 100e is good .these rooms, have big bed, and bathrooms are just luxury, slate and stone, walk in shower, with 2 big jets, big bath.
these room maids are the best I have ever come across, over the past 7 yrs have never seen a "stray" hair anywhere,not even my own , excellent.
Breakfast buffet, has it all, even for diabetics, but the" Hot food" is always cold, but a microwave is supplied, so no problem.
If you are expecting the big spa experience,you will be disapointed, this is not it, but has it all if want a quick swim .sauna.
the bar is always closed , but the location is central, so walk to all other bars /restaurants is no problem, central for shopping,
for a central hotel, theHotel square and street area is always quiet,

We spent a weekend in Andorra to go shopping and have a break. I chose the Roc Blanc as it had good reviews, and wasn't disapointed! We were in walking distance of all the shops which was just what we wanted. We were a bit worried on arrivel as there aren't many places to park. We decided to use the hotel's 15min parking space and went in. They have a hotel parking (under hotel so well protected) which coasts 18,72€ per day and they immediatly parked the car for us (and got it back out on departure). It made our lives so much easier! The hotel was also very easy to find.
The staff were very kind and helpfull.
The room was great; slept like a rock, and the bathroom was fine aswell.
Had dinner at the hotel's "Entrecote" restaurant; food was brilliant and service was good. (I definatly recommend the Kirk Royal as an aperitif, and the menu entrecote Roc Blanc; I don't know how they make the salade sauce, but I'd love to find out!!!)
Breakfast was a buffet for all likes.
In all a perfect place for a weekend in Andorra.
But next time we will spend two nights as we didn't have time for the spa!!!!!
