My wife and I booked into this hotel for two nights mid-week. We chose it because the room rate, at 55 Euros, included breakfast and in-room wifi. The hotel also offered an indoor swimming pool and sauna but we didn't try them because we're a slightly overweight mature couple...
If you drive to Andorra then parking becomes an absolute necessity. This hotel has private secured parking available at 17 Euros per day and though it was expensive, it's necessary. And the good news is that the car park has a lift direct to the hotel's accommodation floors.
We arrived late afternoon and the traffic was already worse than what we had experienced in Paris, and that's saying something. We found that there is a temporary parking spot outside the hotel entrance but when we arrived it was full of service cars/trucks. We drove around the block for about half an hour before we managed to squeeze behind a taxi in front of the hotel, phew!
Check-in was fine - the young man spoke a very understandable broken english - and we were allocated a double room on the fifth floor. We then found that "double" means two standard size double beds pushed together - we live and learn! And oh dear - the toilet seat was broken in the ensuite, and there was no sign of a remote control for the air-conditioner. A trip to reception secured a remote control, and a pleasant young woman promised to arrange to fix the toilet seat. There were no tea/coffee facilities in our room, but a small fridge was supplied and worked OK.
Breakfast was the usual European carbohydrate fest, though fresh fruit was on offer. In fact, you could eat well if you cared to choose carefully - I didn't, and chose meusli and corn flakes which were, um, stale. My wife had scrambled eggs and bacon, and she thought the bacon was stringy and very fatty. Maybe bad luck?
The good news was that yes, the toilet seat was replaced that night, and overall we found the staff with whom we had contact quite helpful. In the reception area we noted that many lights were out, which made the area a little too dim, a little more maintenance needed perhaps?
But would we stay there again? Ummm -- probably not. In fact there's not much to do in Andorra in late October except troll the Duty Free shops, so for us it's a case of "Been There - Done That!"
