We spent two nights in Andorra on our way back to Spain from a trip through France. We were a bit frustrated trying to find the entrance to the parking garage, which is not well-marked and requires a bit of maneuvering. Upon check-in we took advantage of an upgrade to our reservation, for an additional 20 euros per night. Our room on the 6th floor was very large with a huge comfortable bed, two upholstered, comfortable armchairs, a well-equiped bathroom with fluffy towels, a Nespresso machine and a large terrace with a table and two chairs. Our upgrade gave us a discount on the buffet breakfast, which had a good selection of hot and cold choices. The hotel is located steps away from the extremely busy shopping area. The walk along the river up towards the old town is beautiful and takes you away from the crowds on the commercial street. Needless to say, the views in Andorra are spectacular and especially breathtaking from our 6th floor terrace.

We stayed at Hesperia Andorra at February. We are a family with two adults and two children who travelled with a large group of friends. We came to Andorra because we love to ski in those slopes. Each year we came to Andorra we stayed at a different hotel. This time we booked Hesperia.
The rooms are spacious, elegant, and modern. Each room has an nice lcd with a lot of channels. The rooms have a big wc which is amazing too. The only thing about the rooms that made me go angry was the smoke smell in the room when we arrived. oh yes, you can smoke in every part of the hotel. Personnaly it annoys me.
The rooms are clean too but the maid could do a better work.
Unlike what is said in the other reviews I didn't hear any noise from the street.
The food was O.K., nothing special but some days very good. I loved their vegetables soup and their fish.
The youngest recepcionist was very nice. We were so many, everyone talking at the same time and she was still smiling and doing her job so well. She was very competent, kind and friendly.
I didn't like the waiters in the restaurant. They were not polite and they made us feel like we're not welcome. They also accepted table's reservation for another group and didn't let us reserv a table for us. So unkind.

Besides all this I enjoyed so much my stay at the Hesperia...It's a great hotel.

Mariana - Portugal

The rooms are clean, large and well appointed with free wi-fi. Parking as usual is extra and expensive! Don't ask for restaurant recommendations, the lady with the glasses downstairs sent us to Angelo Belmonte a terribly expensive lunch and the food was not even good! It cost more than the room! There is a very nice young man in the reception who even offer to park our car! We should have asked him for lunch recommendations, unfortunately he was not on duty at the time! There is a mini fridge in the room but no coffee maker. Breakfast was more than I could eat! The hotel is right on the shopping area. There is nothing else to do here but shop, shop and shop at outrageous prices.

We enjoyed our stay at Hesperia Andorra La Vella over New Years 2006. The hotel was fairly modern (opened in 2004) and offers the basic amenities. It's in a convenient location, located in the center of the town and close to the ski areas. It has a restaurant (buffet style- which we're generally not fans of - so we didn't eat there), internet access, onsite garage (which was very convenient).
