So i stayed here during jul 2008. Me and my friend went to andorra to finish of our holiday and deicded to stay in this hotel. We arrived at the hotel and instead of paying the hotel rates of parking which were very high we stayed in the car park across the road from the hotel where i could see the car from my room and it was alot cheaper! So we checked in and even though i asked for a twin room they gave us a double room so we went back down to the recption where the very nice lady on reception told us due to us arriving on a sat and these tend to be the days in which the french and spanish come to andorra as well they had only one room left which was a suite double. she however did offer to ring around to the other hotels this hotel owns in andorra and see if they had any spear twin rooms, but instead of doing this my friend deicded he would book the one last suite room and i would stay in the orginal room.

The rooms were VERY nice. My room the standard double had a tv with sky and bbc world news and a few other english channels. The bed was confortable, the bathroom had a bath/shower and twin sinks which were also lovley. I had aircon and a safe in my room and all in all was impressed. My friends room which was the suite had the same as my room with two big chairs which were very nice and also had a jucizzi bath instead of a normal one. Both rooms were very nice.

The restraunt was also good. We deicded to have breakfast for 2 of the 3 days and not on the last as we were leaving very early. It was a continetal breakfast but when sat down the staff offered eggs etc. We also had dinner here on one of the nights and although i did not really like it as i asked for my steak med well done and it came out bleeding my friend loved his food, it was however about 100euros for the meal.
So all in all good stay one thing to say which has been said before i read on some websites that alot of people in andorra speak english, this is not the case very few can! Even the staff in the hotel had broken english and had to get other staff members to help!

Spent five days last week in the Hotel Plaza. The hotel has recently been renovated and I think reopened only last November. We were given a very large room on the fifth floor, almost a junior suite, well decorated, extremely clean and well heated.

We had excellent buffet breakfasts. A good choice of cheeses, cold meats, breads, cereals, fruit and pastries, with eggs also cooked to order.

The reception staff were also very helpful when reserving restaurants and taxis.

Have stayed at the Plaza before because I like the location. It is in the centre of Andorra La Vella with very easy access by car to the Funicamp telecabin.

The minus points were the dinners which were included in the deal we took. At best I would describe them as ok. I would not have been at all pleased had I paid the full rack rate for half board. The service in the dining room in the evenings was also a little haphazard.

I also thought that the 4.50€ charged for room service when I had asked for a some cold milk to use when I made tea in the room was a tad excessive. I shall remember to watch that one in the future.

All in all an excellent place to stay. I shall certainly return, but perhaps next time on a bed and breakfast basis.

We spent one night at Plaza on our way back from Barcelona to France. It was a very charming hotel with views on the surrounding mountains. The lobby is impressive for a hotel that size, reminded me of Grand Hyatt Shanghai (the highest hotel of the world) in much much smaller. Helpful staff, nice spa with jacuzzi and sauna , very good and well priced restaurant and a buffet breakfast with CHURROS!!! I would definitely recommend.
