This was a great hotel for what we required, i was ill for the first few days of the holiday and from reading other reviews id have expected a sleepless couple of days but this wasnt the case. Our room was modern, spacious and cleaned everyday.
We were half board and it was a good job because to eat out everday would have cost a fortune, the buffet was average but could always find something to eat with a good selection and variouty available.
The ski is great with lots of great runs and slopes to explore, we were a group of 3 and of different abilitys but all enjoyed it. The only disappiontment for me was the nightlife, i had been told good things by other people and reviews looked promising but was basically a few roudy bars with expensive prices, i was charged 34 euro one round for 3 pints and 3 shots.

A short break for vacation in Barcelona was amazing experience. We hopped in to coach and arrived to Andorra la Vella without any hotel bookings. After receiving a hotel brochure from the tourist office we chose to stay at Magic Andorra Hotel. It was a very good hotel at least after tourism season. There were hardly anybody else at the hotel, the service was outstanding, and the location at the city centre was great. We received a big room from the river side so the scenery up to mountains was amazing.

There was a small and incredibly hot sauna available and jacuzzi as well. The fitness centre looked great with new equipment but we did not have time to go there. Breakfast was average.

Compared to Barcelona prices the hotel was a good value. It was 76 euros a night with breakfast for two. Great place indeed but maybe more like three-star-hotel than four-star-hotel.

The Magic Hotel is classed as a four star. I have stayed in many hotels and
this is not a four star accommodation, even reading the Expedia Star Rating section this hotel should only be classed as a three star. The Hotel Manager was extremely
unhelpful when we realised we had booked the wrong 'Magic' and asked to move
to another Magic Hotel further up the mountain. We should have booked The
Magic Ski where there a Cable Car runs directly up to the ski resort (no
need for the car). The car park was diabolical you need to take a mini! The
rooms were twin bedded and small. The aircon did not work and on the first
night the bath water was only just aired. The hotel was extremely noisy,
doors banging constantly. The information book in the room as been
scribbled in by children and the pages all mixed up (it was in several
languages). The maid also removed newspapers and magazines from our room we
had not finished with. All in all a very expensive and disappointing stay
for my first experience at skiing.

The hotel is a modern building on 6 floors in the centre of Andora la Ville. The first two floors are the hotel car park. You need to either bring a very small car or have done an advanced fork lift truck driving course as the concrete columns are so closley set you will scrape your car. Every wall, steel post and concrete pillar shows paint scrapes from their previous conquests. The price to enter this asault course is 18.75 Euros per night. and you stand your own repair bill.
The rooms are clean but small. The choice of TV channels is local or BBC World News. WiFi in rooms is free to connect.
The most alarming point is the cancellation policy. if you are with in 7 days of startng your stay you can not cancel without paying the full cost. we booked for 4 nights and wanted to cut the fourth night as we arrived the manager would have none of this and insisted we would have to pay. Very un interested in accomodating us. We even asked if we could take the fourth night in another Magic hotel 8 miles closer to the ski slopes. answer still no, "you booked you pay".
