The man and wife that ran the place were very kind, probably the kindest people I've met so far in Cyprus. When I was sitting down in the lobby with my laptop, he gave me a homemade sort of hotpocket with veggies and meat inside. It was tasty. When I checked out, he also gave me a slice of some kind of soft cake. The main problem was the location. It's about a 40 minute bus ride from Paphos and there aren't buses late in the evening.

There were ants in the kitchen (not a big deal to me), it was quite drafty, and the water never got hot enough to have a comfortable shower.

The room was huge!

This year too we went to Polis and Mariela Hotel. That is because Polis and the surroundings is the most beautiful area of Cyprus and Mariela is a relaxed and good place to live. This year we stayed for three weeks and spent all of them at Mariela. The hosts are very friendly and kind. It is a pleasure to meet them.
We absolutly recommend this place.

Stayed a week in Sept 2011 - first impressions lets its down - because we had a very spacious 1 bed apartment, clean and tidy - great location for the square and large super market round the corner - would recommend this hotel

Wonderful service at a reasonable price. This was our 8th stay and Pambos and Eleni always make us welcome, we would not dream of staying anywhere else in Polis. The hotel is conveniently located for local restaurants, has a lovely pool and really clean spacious apartments. Good for people who want a really relaxing holiday.
We will be going again in 2012.
