“Clean Hotel but slightly of the beaten track”

Had a great room which was on the first floor with a sea view and a balcony. It was more of an apartment with 3 rooms which we got for a great price. The kids had a room each and each room had a TV and balcony overlooking the outdoor pool. There was a lounge with a widescreen TV. The only downside was that internet access was via an ethernet cable with only one cable access in the apartment. Internet access was also an extra cost so be prepared for this. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned daily. There was a washing machine in the kitchen and basic cooking facilities. It was a little chilly to use the outdoor pool as it was February but the indoor pool made up for this. Didn't use the jacuzzi as it was always full of people. Breakfast was a buffet with cooked and ambient food. Only gripe was when I went to breakfast on my own before my family joined me the head waiter insisted on trying to move me to a smaller table despite me insisting my family were going to join me and that I needed a table for 4. I stood my ground but no guest should be treated like that. The hotel is away from the main Paphos area and so transport is necessary. I would suggest hiring a car.

Room Tip: If travelling with a family then try and get a 3 roomed apartment.

Stunning hotel, great rooms and amazing food. Could not ask for anything more. Plus the restaurant staff cannot do enough for you. Fantastic.

Room Tip: Executive suite with sea view is stunning.

Was there a couple of days ago stayed for two night had a superior suite side sea view. the room was very big very comfy bed room and big bathroom with a second toilet. everything you need is available even down to the smallest kitchen accessory!! breakfast buffet was very filling and there was a shef available to make you anything else that you wanted. good location and staff at the breakfast were friendly. the pool was cold and the walls by the steam room need re painting.
enjoyable stay over all more of a summer hotel :)

Booked this hotel through easyJet holidays. The hotel web site had mentioned a free mini-bus from the Airport, but this failed to be available unless the accommodation was booked direct with the hotel. Staff offered us a taxi for the return journey – but we put the €30 towards a hire car which included drop off at the airport. There’s a bus from the airport to Paphos harbour and you can then take the 615 to right outside the hotel (cost €1 for a single journey, or buy an all day ticket for €2). In general the bus service was very efficient.

The room (on the same floor as reception) was exceptionally large – and included the well equipped kitchen as described on the hotel website. If you want to make use of the dishwasher and washing machine, maybe think about taking a small supply of dishwasher tablets etc with you (not much point in buying large packs from the Lidl over the road just for a few days). The same applies to tea, coffee and sugar etc. Maybe the hotel shop should include small packs for the kitchen, containing detergent, dishwasher tablets etc along with the local tea towels they sell. The lounge area and bedroom both had flat screen TV’s and separate air conditioning and everything was very clean, and the staff helpful.

Some rooms have a sea view but also a view of the waste land either side of the hotel – and those without a sea view could end up with a view of the car park and tennis court at the front. We were lucky – with a view of the pool and Mediterranean from the large balcony.

Breakfast was good, with a wide selection, although fresh orange juice would have been nice. The evening meal (additional cost in our case) was OK but rather bland international cuisine and nothing special, and the Cypriot night didn’t seem to happen. There are a few restaurants across the road and within walking distance, including Chloe's Chinese Restaurant and Zaffron directly opposite (which served delicious food and was great value, if it’s still there).

The indoor pool was rather cold (in November) but it was easy to warm up in the sauna and steam room. The outdoor pools didn’t seem as warm as the Mediterranean (others probably agreed as no-one else seemed to use them either), but it’s not easy to get into the sea from the rocky beach by the hotel.

From the hotel it’s possible to walk along the coast to Paphos harbour – takes about 40 minutes, or longer if you stop off for a drink on the way. The track improves to a wide pathway as you get nearer the harbour itself.

We booked a day tour including stop off at the Troodos mountains and Kykko Monastery – it was much cheaper (€19) from Rusian Travel at the bus station in Paphos Old Port than advertised elsewhere – and the tour guide (Lisa) was a laugh and very knowledgeable - and even sang to us in one of the Monastery’s!

Definitely would go back – and just hope to get a room with a decent view.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms overlooking the car park (at front of hotel) Some rooms on the top floor don't have...

“Perfect for our trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

We stayed at the Capital coast whilst in Paphos for a friends wedding. There was a large group of us and the Capital Coast suited us perfectly.
The rooms were huge...we stayed in a 2 bed Executive Suite - 2 huge bathrooms and a third toilet. The size of the rooms was fantastic for us as we could invite friends to our room and have enough space for them.
The beds were a little uncomfortable but OK, the rooms were clean and more than sufficient, if a little tired in places.
We went on self catering basis, which I am really happy that we did, although food is expensive. There is Lidl literally a 5 min walk away which is good for basics. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, and buses are very regular. The pool bar is very expensive, I would recommend going SC in this hotel.
The pool area was lovely, always clean, we had 5 under 6's with us and they really enjoyed the pool area.
My only criticism would be the lack of evening entertainment for children, we went to an advertised Children's Disco, but unfortunately it wasn't on.....replaced by Karoke....the children were very disappointed. I wouldn't want something every night, but just the once would have been great for them as they were looking forward to it so much.
Overall we had a fantastic holiday.....
