We have just returned from a truly delightful week at the Aquamare. We spent Xmas there 3 years ago and were very happy to find everything just as lovely as last time. The hotel is very smart and the public areas are beautifully decorated for Xmas. Since our last vist they've moved the swimming pool which was a bit of a surprise! It's now beside the breakfast/lunch terrace and is lovely. The food is fantastic. The choice is not huge but the quality and presentation are absolutely excellent. The gala dinner on Xmas Eve is just great. The breakfast buffet is superb and caters for the many different nationalities who stay there. The lady who cooks the eggs freshly for you also makes yummy French toast & pancakes. Enjoy those with your complimentary glass of champagne on Xmas morning! You should pay the extra for a sea view room. It's definitely worth the extra. We were very lucky with the weather & had sunshine every day. We loved watching the sunsets from our balcony while sipping a glass of wine. I feel that there are aspects of the room that could now do with a bit of updating. The staff are friendly and efficient. The shaver socket in our room wasn't working so we reported it at reception in the morning. When we returned a few hours later a new one had been fitted.....this was on Xmas Day! There's a bus stop right outside the hotel if you don't want to walk into Paphos town. The bus service is good even on Xmas day. The hotel is very quiet and perfect for relaxing. If you like lots of organised entertainment then this definitely isn't the hotel for you.The Aquamare is one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it,

Nice hotel that benefits by being slightly out of town. On teh plus side that means you do not have the crowds surging past the hotel all hours of the night an dthe pubs and clubs keeping you awake at 3a.m. However, be aware that even short taxis rides of 1km in Paphos are 8 Euros which soon mounts up if you are taking several taxis a day.
The bus, is frequent though and only 1 Euro.
The hotel itself is lovely inside. The spa area is extensive with treatments from 40-120 Euros. The swimming pool inside is OK but a bit small if there is more than a handful of people in it. The one outside is bigger but a very odd shape so it is not really made for anyone to do proper swimming in. There is a miniscule amount of coarse sand on the beach so you can pick your way down to the sea to swim but most of the beach is rough limestone.
The breakfasts were extensive and varied. Quite nice food.
Our room was quite well appoited. No frills but everything that you need was there. Comfy beds, spotless linen and a nice bathroom.

First impressions were brilliant, large spacious reception with several "rooms sets" in including one lovely one by large fire place and nice cosy sitting room with tv.
Room 317 had sea view and was very clean and tidy. Even had small fridge so we could buy wine etc for pre dinner drinks without cost of bar prices.

The best part was the restaurant, we were half board and could not fault the choice of food. French night, Greek night, Carvery night fish night and bbq night. Wonderful salads etc.

Gardens, pool was tidy, and had lots of sun loungers and chairs etc.

We stayed mid December, weather was warm and sunny but not hot.

one point, more coat hangers please, although delivered to our room after request within 30 mins.

Staff excellent, will def go back in hotter weather so we can relax in the lovely gardens,
Didnt use spa but looked good.

spend one week in this hotel - was very quiet !! (end nov/dec) but enjoyed the nice relaxing break. hotel is really nice, staff friendly, food is plentiful. Played the mini golf which is 10 mins walk from hotel and that was fun (6.80 Euros) Overall would go back to Paphos for a nice little break. Found the spa to be very expensive which was a bit disappointing as i had hoped to have a treatment.feedback for the hotel - why not do some deals at the quiet time of the year for spa treatments ??
