It is true that there is always something you can find that's wrong if you want to! But honestly, I have to go a long way to express any disappointment regarding the service, the staff and the facilities at this hotel.
Sure the evening entertainment is well below par but hey you are on holiday - get out and enjoy the island and the villages. Get a taxi or hire car, mix with the locals get away from tacky Paphos and enjoy new discoveries. Try the tavernas - some are very good and some are a rip-off but that's the same in most tourist areas in the world when it comes to eating out. Don't believe me try London at night or Perth WA, Hong Kong etc.

Stayed at Athena Royal Beach Hotel for a week in December, the hotel is very clean and our room was a good size and very well equipped, staff were very polite and helpful. We found breakfast and dinner to be of a high standard and a very good variety of food to choose from. Will definetly go back to this hotel and would recommend it to friends.

We were due to stay at the sister hotel athena beach but it was closed for refurbishment. The athena royal beach is fantastic..... We had a great sea view and the cleaners were great... The sun shone for some of the time.

The only thing that spoilt my holiday was the amount of stray cats... I fell in love with a black kitten that visited the athena royal beach hotel
