We have just returned from our 28 day stay at the Paphian Park and we would both say we had a wonderful time at this very friendly, excellent customer - service orientated village. On arrival our English receptionist Heather gave us a warm welcome and hoped we would enjoy our stay. The living accomodation was excellent, the sitting - room / kitchen/dinette was well equipped and the patio doors led onto a wonderful balcony which doubled as a place to sit round a table enjoying your drinks etc. and a place to hang your washing etc. A good idea for any future guests is to take some cord and a few clothes pegs as washing dries very quickly in that fantastic Cyprus sun. The beds were rather on the hard side and quite difficult to sleep on. The bed settee in the sitting -room is more comfortable and therefore is the better option to sleep on. The cleaning of the apartment is excellent and changing of bedding is very good. The down side is the invasion of small ants in all rooms, fortunately they don't seem to bite ! but they were everywhere ! The cleaning ladies are wonderful, mostly from Bulgaria and they work so very hard. Please try to remember that they are probably on minimum wages so they should be rewarded well as they work so very hard in very hot conditions. The dining staff are also mainly from Bulgaria and work so very hard. Led by Stavros the dining room staff work tirelessly and endlessly and remain cheerful and happy even being so far away from home. Well done, with some really difficult and rude staff to deal with ! Hopefully the "Good outweighs the Bad " guests. The bar staff were excellent as well and very considerate towards their customers. The food was fantastic. The breakfast choice was brilliant either choosing from a hot cooked selection or cold meats, cheese , cucumber ( beautiful ) olives and tomatoes. A great selection of food and not to be criticised. The evening meal was wonderful and there was a different themed night everynight. Although there for 28 days there was plenty of varieties to choose from each time ! Really good quality food at breakfast and evening meals. The choice of fruit was exceptional also, the oranges are amazingly sweet and juicy. Wish we could say the same about our fruit. The bananas are grown there as were the oranges. The local buses are excellent running every ten minutes and for 2 euros you can jump on any bus all day long. A single ticket is 1 euro. Be prepared to stand like sardines but the airconditioning on the buses keep you well cooled in a rather crowded atmosphere. The coastal walk from Pathian Village to Pathos is about 5 miles and takes about 90 minutes to walk. The walk is so beautiful and once you have done it once it doesn't seem so long, there are plenty of hotels, bars and toilets on route so just enjoy the amazing blue seas, the golden sands and the fantastic breakers that pound of craggy rocks. Sheer bliss the walk is although a good pair of trainers or walking shoes is necessary. Forgot to say that the other down- size is the narrow bath, quite difficult to get out of and when having a shower in the bath it can be quite slippy so be very careful of this. Hand- rails should be added to save any impending future accidents waiting to happen ! Overall brilliant experience and thanks also to Christina and Daniella (receptionists ) and Marinos (General Manager ) The pool maintenace staff do an amazing job as well as the indoor and outdoor pools are spotless. Again very hard- working Bulgarian Staff. Really look forward to returning next year ( God willing ) Thanks for everything a brilliant experience ................
