My wife and I and two friends have just returned from 4 weeks at The Ledra. Before we went we read the reviews and wondered if it really could be as good as the reviews suggested - we need not have worried as it turned out to be every bit as good and in some areas even better than expected.

There is a saying that you only get one chance to make a 'first impression' and the reception staff obviously understand this fully. We were welcomed at reception as though we were old friends although this was our first visit and from that moment the service we received was second to none and nothing we requested was ever too much trouble.

The food was of very good quality with excellent Salad Bars and a wide choice of main courses. The Dessert bar was superb in choice and quality - there were many 'Healthy' choices for those with a will of iron sadly we were not blessed with such will power !!

The bar staff were excellent and managed to keep up with my fast pace of consumption ! Many thanks to them all for their friendly and efficient service.

The general standard of cleanliness and comfort of the public areas was excellent and the comfort of our room was also excellent with a beautiful sea view to the west which provided some stunning sunsets.

The only constructive criticism we would make of the room was the lack of power points. There was one power point above the desk which was used for the Fridge and the Kettle and two other points at floor level in other parts of the room. In these days of prolific Gadgetry - Mobile Phones, laptop Computers etc etc extra power points/adapters above the desk would be very useful.

The outside areas of the hotel were also kept in immaculate condition despite the vagaries of the weather.

A very special mention must be made about the 'Animation Team' who made our holiday so enjoyable. The whole team were exceptional and highly motivated and it is so refreshing to see a team of people who are so obviously enjoying what they are doing. We looked forward to all the evening shows which were fantastic and we laughed more than we can remember doing for a long time - what a tonic - thank you all for some fantastic evenings.

I must make special mention of my Personal Archery Coach 'Mighty Mouse' who has taken me almost to Olympic Standard !!!!!

We certainly hope to return to The Ledra at some time in the future and until then many many thanks to all for making our stay so enjoyable.
