when we arrived at the apartments it was quite scary as my husband and i were the only ones to get off the coach
when the rep walked us around to the reception he warned us that this was not a particularly great place to stay!
after a couple of days we realised why!!!

most of the apartments were actually lived in by locals not that we had a problem with this as we have been to paphos many times and would love to live here when we retire but the noise and cats were very annoying as well as the brothel we faced across the road.
the best thing about this property and its location was the crocodile bar loved it and once we had found this bar go back year after year
staff just brilliant and remember your drinks year after year!!!

if you do happen to visit this god forsaken place you have been warned. you can get a much better holiday for the same price ie:- the pandream - basic apartments - very clean - good location - beach a few minutes away and a regular bus service also!
also visit the italian cypriot meze restuarant viva cyprus - excellent value for money and also the seagull restuarant in the town!

worse place i have ever stayed cockroaches in the beds, you could not open doors or window or you would be infested with cockroaches and ant etc and staff where not all that great, but the people in the bars and restaurants where fantastic

We usually book our holidays online as we get far better quality for the price and a better description then from the travel agent. I wish i had known about this site before i booked in at the Leda.

Firstly it is a long way from all the activity of paphos. The beach, which is not great, is about a fifteen minute walk away. The shops and bars are 20 minutes from the gardens.

I left one Cypriot pound as a tip for the maid each day, only on our fourth day i forgot. When we returned in the evening we were overrun by ants and found three cockroaches. On closer inspection i found where the ants were coming from and located what they were being drawn to. To my surprise, dotted around certain areas of the apartment, i found almost minute lumps of sugar under the bed, on window sills, in the kitchen draws, next to our suitcases and in the bathroom.

Luckily i realised that mosquito repellant must be toxic to insects so i was able to kill most and block the trail.

The next day i left a Cypriot pound to see if it was taken by the maid and also went to complain at the reception with one of the drawers containing the sugar and dead ants to complain. We returned later that day and found a note on the door to go to reception, I went down and they gave me a spray can to kill the ants. On returning to the room i discovered the money had been taken, but nothing had been done to the room! The cheek!

The spray i had been given was far too toxic to use and you would not get away with producing that in the UK.

The sheets on our bed was also too small and did not cover the whole bed. The pool was dirty and the pool barman although friendly seemed like he was high most of the day. Add to the pool and bar area being overrun with cats and you have a filthy disease ridden epidemic waiting to happen!

Interestingly when the all you can eat barbeque was on the cats were no where to be seen which is unusual as the cats were always at the foot of the table when we were eating. (The cats returned the next day)

three of us went to Leda Gardens,a bit put off with the reviews,very pleased we ignorned reviews as we found the accommodation fine and staff friendly.The pool was cleaned daily and was very clean. We are looking forward to go again. Let's be honest if you want 5star,pay 5 star prices.We weren't bothered with any mosquitoes but if you are put off about them my advise is stay at home 'cos you'll always find them in hot countries.
