I have never been compelled to write a review for a hotel / holiday destination, but I feel that it is my duty to do so on this occasion as having digested the reviews of "The Land of the Kings" the differences are startling. Firstly, this is the Worse -bar none hotel I have ever stayed in my Life. however it is the cheapest. !. I had no problems what so-ever with any insects, But I witnesses others on the ground floor having a nightmare. ** Please note, no lifts etc..** so having helped about 3 couples with young children in pushchairs on countless occasions up and down the stairs, this was annoying, more so for them as I was just thankful not to be in there shoes (or flip flops). Our room's were basic, cleaned every other day and tidy. however.... The bathrooms are extremely small, and shower was poor. The worse experience of the whole holiday was the bedroom, which of a night were more likened to a Turkish prison cell. These are all facts, but here's for the other side of the reality. There was no Air-conditioning in our room, we were staying for 1 week from 17th July and it was 36* - 95 (Fahrenheit) at its hottest - which was 99% of the day, and 24* (76 Fahrenheit) during its coolest at the night. - So as you can imagine, it was not comfortable at all, never mind no Air-Conditioning. After 2 days , we sort-of got use to the heat in the sense that we started to actually get some sleep, so not all bad. The pool was lovely, and other that that I cannot comment on any of the other facilities as we never ate there or sampled the entertainment. To sum my whole experience up then I would have to say that the holiday was 'cheap as chips' and I got what I paid for. The Weather was FANTASTIC, but unfortunately this is what made the problems stand out more as it is a direct consequence. Would I stay there again ? - If it was as cheap again I would consider it, but not for a penny more (Paid £600 for 2 People 1 week). Would I go to Paphos again, yes, but to be honest I probably wont, as it is not a patch on Espana !. So remember 2- Star means 2 STAR, and if you like it hot, and don't mind the conditions, Paphos is your place !
