“very good and nice and clean”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

glad we stayed in the new aliathon village as the old part looked very dated and the pool was basic. but our apartments which all where situated by the main pool where modern and clean.
the only down fall is the evening entertainment started quite late so if you have a young family this could mean you may miss out or kids get too tired before it starts. and the entertainment we did see was your usual 'Butlins' style tacky comedy cabaret.
must say the surroundings where very pleasant, we where all inclusive and had plenty of choice of food i found to be very good, also lovely kids pools and amenities for little ones.

“THE BEST HOLIDAY WE HAVE EVER HAD!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

I travelled with my husband and my two daughters (14) and (10). We arrived at 7.30pm and was welcomed to fastest check in I've ever experienced. We were offered a ride to our apartment but we chose to walk to have a look round. Our cases was brought straight to us within 10minutes. When we found our apartment in the fishing village (1206) we were just amazed! I opened the balcony doors and my eyes just watered, as before me was the most brilliant view I had ever seen! We then went straight to the restaurant and loved it. Over the corse of the week we enjoyed a delicious variety of food from the main restaurant and snack bar.
Despite the children not being really young there was entertainment provided for them, and the loved the activities on offer, from snorkelling to canoeing they loved it! The entertainment on a evening was brilliant, however I did feel it ended quite early. But we didn't mind as we went in the bar and spent time together.
The rooms were very clean and comfy. The only regret we had was that we only booked up for 1 week.
The pools were clean and we would love to go back!
I have read that some of the reviews say that all they were offered was salad, but I didn't eat a leaf all week, the food was fantastic, the only problem was all week we didn't feel hungry! But it was that great we ate anyway.
This HV is great for families and we will be going back!

Room Tip: Upgrade to the fishing village!

“Fantastic Family Holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

We stayed at the aliathon for 10 nights, all inclusive beginning of October 2011.
Myself, husband and two girls aged 6 and 18 months.
I am writing this on behalf of all 4 of us - we had an amazing holiday and didnt want to leave.
Our apartment was on the fishing village side, ground floor and was exactly how we had hoped it would be from pictures we had seen 'junior suite' a lovely studio apartment with a seperate kids room - perfect, with a lovely large private terrace, just had everything we needed.
All inclusive - we were more than happy with the selection of food and drinks available. I was extremely impressed with the salads on offer - i cant eat a meal without salad, which i am very picky about and i was in my element all holiday. My husband is a meat and chips kind of guy - he was happy and the girls pretty much nibbled on anything, pasta, vegetables, fruit, jelly & ice-cream.
I think they pretty much cater for everyone at all meal times.
Our eldest daughter loved being able to have drinks and ice-cream whenever she wanted and going to the bar to get it herself.
Such an amazing relaxing holiday, so much help with our girls and so many other great families we got friendly with.......our eldest joined in the fun with the fantastic entertainment team, they all took her under their wing and looked after her, we hardly saw her and we felt so relaxed and happy that she was off having a great time (even though it was without us, which we are not used too, she's usually superglued to our sides) so we hold our hats up to the entertainment staff for prizing our shy little girl away from us.
The creche was a huge help with our youngest the charge of 30 euro for 3 x 2 hour sessions (5 euro per hour) was well worth it. We put her in the creche everyday for 2 hours either 10am-12noon or 11am-1pm, which gave us time to chill by the pool in the hot sunshine and do the daily quiz - great fun, a good way of having a bit of cheesy adult fun and gets your brain going!!!
Pools are mega. The main pool by the lighthouse is perfect for children just like a mini beach, we spent most of our time by the main pool. The Splash pool is freezing, takes your breath away, very refreshing and great fun!!!

The only reason why i've not rated this holiday as excellent is because we have been to all inclusives in the carribean (pre-children) which do top this place.
However, we highly recommend this place especially to families with young children.
Almost perfect & excellent value for money.
