Andreas was a truly marvelous host. We arrived and were warmly welcomed with soft drink and sweets. Our room was great - tastefully decorated, spacious, with pool view. Breakfast served each morning was very good value for money, selection and quality of food was very satisfactory. Staff helpful, willing to help you at any time. Pool well looked after, plenty of sun loungers. I can only recommend this hotel and would definitely go back. Thank you very much Andreas.

As stated above have just returned from another great holiday .Andreas just the same !!!,and Maria as always as helpful as ever.Went with two friends who have also been back more than once.Nothing is to much trouble for any of the staff,My only question is for a self catering holiday it is very expensive,.Hope to return next year perhaps if we start saving now will be able to afford it !!

Have just returned from 11 nights at the King Jason Apartments and it is true what everyone has said......it was lovely! The reception and bar areas were spotless and lovely and cool (much needed when temps are 34+ outside - not that was a problem either!). The outside bar area was really lovely and made it feel like that you were somewhere quite tropical. Would recommend the cocktail and wine tasting evenings that Andreas (the manager) puts on....a lovely gesture along with the brandy and honey left in the rooms on arrival and departure. The rooms are quite adequate and I must say having spent most holidays since having children sleeping on various put u ups in lounges, the sofa beds were most welcoming and provided a good night's sleep. The air con is noisy however is much needed and didn't seem to keep us awake that much. Everything is catered for even hairdryer, iron and a brolly!!! The pool area is lovely, the most comfortable sun beds ever and it made a pleasant change to have no loud Euro pop blaring out during the day. The staff were lovely, very polite and helpful and always had a smile on their faces. There are lots of cats but they are well looked after and to be honest just seem to flop about sleeping all the time. We were on a self catering basis so cannot comment on the restaurant food, however if the lunchtime menus were anything to go by I would think it was lovely. The food that we did have was very good and huge portions, however it is a little pricer that other places we have been to but the quality was by far superior. The supermarked on site was great for doughnuts for elevenses and ice creams but we tended to go to the others outside for a large choice for breakfast/lunch - again the locals more than helpful if you need anything. The residential location was also pleasant as it meant there were no groups of people coming home in the v early hours making loads of noise. It was lovely to get up in the morning and go for either a gentle jog down to the harbour and watch all the locals going about their business or just have a lovely quiet swim in the welcoming waters of the pool before everyone else was up and about. As for the walk to the harbour, it does only take about 15/20 mins at a very gentle stroll and is worth it for all the lovely restaurants to choose from. Have never had so many choices and the most fantastic meals and being mostly pedestrianised you were able to sit outside and watch the world go by. Can recommend the Seagull at the bottom of the hill at the start of the harbour, also Demetrias has good local cuisine along with traditional entertainment most evenings......a lovely Italian restaurant which is opposite the Baywatch bar and if you sit there on Fri/Sat evenings you can people watch all the locals coming out! All choices are catered for (I won't mention the English influence but if that's what you like then even you are catered for!!!) Although the Euro is not good at the moment, eating out was not as expensive as I had imagined. In fact I would say that it is the best we have eaten out over the years at probably the same price.......it really depends how much you are prepared to pay.......our cheapest meal for four was 40 euros with free wine and the most expensive was 95 euros but that was for the works and we got to see Karen Hardy from Strictly Dancing thrown in!!!! To be honest I actually found the every day things like bread, milk, bottles of Coke etc to be quite expensive so if you are a true self caterer you shoud be aware that the cost of living appears to be higher that than some of the other med areas. Must also recommend the water park at Limassol (Fasouri) well worth a visit. Massive big slides along with some lovely pools to swim in, loads of sunbeds and amazingly no queues for the rides!!!! We didn't sit down once whilst there (well only to eat our lunch)!! Overall cannot fault either the apartments or the place itself. Having spent the last 20 plus years visiting various countries, the atmosphere at the apartments is the most relaxing I have known (apart from Cuba) and the resort itself is very cosmopolitan. If you want the traditional it is there but if you want the bright lights and the loud music it is also there. We hope to go back again to the welcoming King Jason sooner rather later.

Got back from the Louis King Jason apartments yesterday, what a fantatstic holiday. The staff where extremely friendly the manager Andreas couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were spotless and very well equipped, they even supplied washing up liquid and shower gel. The grounds were very well kept and the pools were really clean. OK so there are a few cats, they didn't bother you unless you bothered them and they are very well looked after by the hotel staff. Yes there was a 20 minute walk to Kato Paphos where most of the bars and restaurants are but it was a nice walk through the residential area of Paphos and after a large Meze meal it was quite nice to take a slow walk back after dinner. I would love to return again next year.

28 Aug 2009 | Trip type: Family

I have just returned from the LKJ with my family and in-laws for a 11 night holiday.
Accommodation - The main reception, restaurant, bar and seating areas were all beautiful. Very well laid out and lovely both in the day and at night.
Apartments - Everything you need from iron/ironing board to kettle to toaster. Air con a blessing (if a little noisy). Overall I think the apartments could benefit from some new bedding and curtains to spruce them up a little.
Pool - Fab outdoor and indoor pool with lovely sunbeds (not plastic rubbish that break your back!) The pool was a lovely temperature and had roman steps into the pool which is great for the little ones.
Gym/Sauna - My husband used the gym everyday to ward off the holiday bulge - nice new equipment. Overlooks the indoor pool.
Kids Facilities - There was a small playground but to be honest I didn't see anyone on anything probably due to the heat. There were pool/air hockey tables (all under cover out of the blistering sun) that took tokens. Thomson had a kids club there but we only saw one little boy in the club.
Food - We ate in the hotel for 2 nights (half board) - the food was lovely with a good choice. You wouldn't be disappointed if you ate every night here. We chose to eat out most of the nights as a lot of the restaurants were doing 'special set menu's' from anything from 10 euros to 16 euro's per person. This may only be because of how quiet Paphos was during August probably due to the current credit climate.
Extra Touches - Pool towels, mattresses on the sunbeds, cold hand towels given out around luchtime at the pool, welcome cold juice drink. No rush for sunbeds. There was also no loud late music.

Things They Could Add - I believe the apartments could benefit from a coin operated laundry room. Nobody likes to come home with cases of dirty washing. The apartments do offer a dry cleaning/laundry service however the prices were very expensive.

Tips - Ask someone who has been before (or the very helpful reception staff) the best way to the main part 'harbour area'. It should only take 5-8 mins walk to get into the bars/restaurants.
If you go to Coral Bay beach on the bus - stay on the bus until it terminates. It terminates at a smaller cove past the busy Coral Bay at a locals beach which is lovely. Sunbeds and umbrellas cost 2 euros for each ( 2 beds and 1 umbrella was 6 euros Aug 09)
You will need to walk up the road slightly for the return bus - across the car park to get the bus back. But the great thing is you get a seat at the start as everyone gets on further on at the main Coral Bay beach.

I have been to many, many places during my travel career but I would definately return to the LKJ but probably not in the main summer months - this is only due to the heat. At night the temperature was still 28/29 degrees which was a little too warm for me.

Overall - A great holiday - a lovely break. Thank you Andreas (LKJ Manager)
