“"very minimal, great food, great location, great view"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Although we are locals, this was our first visit to Almyra. We booked for one night at the excellent price of €80 per double room and they gave us an upgrade to a Superior Sea View room on the 4th floor. The view was exquisite and so was the 5-course dinner we had at the hotel for the price of €45 per person (not including drinks). Champagne (!) breakfast was also really nice and the staff was very helpful and polite. The rooms were very minimal and clean. The location of the hotel is excellent because it just a 5-minute walk from the "old harbour" area of Paphos which is filled with cafes and restaurants. We are definately going back!

Room Tip: Definately go for a sea view room!

Dear Guest,

thank you very much for choosing to celebrate Valentine's with your partner at Almyra this year. Our rates vary depending on the season, and are always competitive. Even more so in winter months.

We are delighted to hear that your experience lived up to your expectations and we would welcome the opportunity of seeing you back in the summer months. Due to weather, more outlets and facilities are available then.

Very soon our effort in further upgrading our rooms will be completed, with LCD television sets in all rooms, new flooring replacing the carpet in our Inland view rooms and refreshing our lobby with new fabrics. Most of all, we are introducing exciting new Food concepts this year and would love to have you experiencing them.

Thank you for your kind words on TripAdvisor and we are hoping to see you back at Almyra soon.

Best regards,
Almyra Management

“Weekend at Almyra”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

I visited Almyra Hotel for a weekend in January with my husband. We got a very good room rate from the internet in comparison to previous years. We took advantage of the indoor pool and also booked a couple's massage. On checking out we found that we had a 20% discount on the massage. Breakfast was excellent even though there weren't that many guests staying. However... I expected to find my glyko karidaki (Cypriot sweet) on arrival!!! I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since our room was ready and was shown to it immediately. Also, it was raining pretty hard the day we went for our massage and we were unpleasantly greeted at the spa by towels on the floor due to the rain coming through the cracksunder the windows and doors. Not acceptable for a 4 year old spa in a 5 star hotel!!! Finally, rennovations were being made on the third floor at 10am whilst guests had not yet checked out!! Overall, good hotel with clean lines, good breakfast and in downtown Paphos

Room Tip: Sea view rooms more quiet

Dear Guest,

we really appreciate that you chose to stay with us recently at Almyra and would like to thank you for your kind words on TripAdvisor.

We believe in having attractive and very competitive rates all year around, and even more so during the winter period. During this time the 20% offer on spa treatments also applies, that you noticed on your account. We hope you fully enjoyed it. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused by the strong rainfall at almyraspa. We are working on it and hope that it will all be resolved soon.

Our "Karydaki"-welcome is still in place at Almyra and you will be able to experience it on your next stay too. Regarding the "renovations" that you mention, we are sorry that you were disturbed. Our aim is to offer a tranquil stay. Upon return we hope you will notice though the results of our efforts, with flat screen TV sets in all rooms, brand new flooring in many of our Inland view rooms and substantial other upgrades throughout our hotel.

Thank you for your loyalty in Almyra. We hope to see you back during 2012

Best regards,
Almyra Management

“Top end, great for kids and spa, but pricey”

A near perfect place for a summer holiday. It caters for children, has a lovely pool and spa complex, kids club with English staff and the staff are friendly.

It is not cheap. As for the restaurant, although offering low seating for children with gorgeous sea views, has food which is a bit hit and miss for the price. The town and coast are a short walk away.

Overall loved it. Make sure you pick a room away from the side of the main road as the motorbikes can be noisy in the middle of the night.

I recently stayed at the Almyra hotel with myjwife and son and enjoyed every minute of it. The service was great and the staff even better! The massage was very relaxing, the heated swimming pool clean and overall it was fantastic even the weather was warm 20 degrees celcius!
The cons: the hotel doesnt feel at all 5star I would say more like 3star (australian hotel comparison) and the price for frappee coffee is 10 euros....come on guys accros the street I can get for 3.50 euros.
I will go there again if I score a good rate.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the sea have a great view of the sunset but would be very hot during the summer even wi...

Dear Guest,

we would like to thank you for choosing Almyra for your winter escape and even more for recommending us on TripAdvisor.

Our AlmyraSpa is surely the best place to be when the weather gets cold. With its indoor heated pool, the facilities of sauna and steambath guarantee a "warmer" stay!

Almyra has a unique design and atmosphere, which differs to most traditional 5-star hotels, with their heavy decoration. Instead, the clean lines, the zen approach is what characterizes Almyra's style.

Please allow us to clarify that Frappe is offered at euro 4.30 in the hotel. However, on selected occasions, our over-the-top Dessert Lounge, with our pastry chef Jean Marc Diop's amazing creations, offers a dessert accompanied with coffee, tea or hot chocolate for the price of only euro 10.

We would like to thank you once again for staying with us at Almyra and hope that will also have the pleasure of welcoming you during the summer season, so that you can enjoy the open-air facilities of our property.

Best regards,
Almyra Management

“Great staying!”

We decided to take a short 2-day family staying at this hotel and we loved it.
The rooms were very comfortable, spacious and quiet. The service was excellent and the staff were very happy to please us and answer any question we had.
The breakfast was very rich and included all kinds of staff...
Ofcourse is a matter of taste, but would prefer some decorations in the rooms and some coffee/tea facilities, as well as an LCD TV.
