Our second visit to Paphos for an all male golf trip. The Amathus Beach was much better than the Aphrodite Hills Hotel. As other reviewers have said, good staff, food and everything one could wish for. We could not have been more comfortable. Paphos is full of half built apartments and downmarket struggling retailers but the sea walk to the harbour and the Amathus Beach mean that we will probably return. Elea Golf was not too far away and they also are an outstanding facility. All well recommended. The hotel drink prices are no worse than any other 5* hotel.
Paphos Airport and Thomson are Third World standard and could easily spoil a visit. They both need to urgently improve their customer service, check in service and local staff quality. I'd sack the lot of
them. Useless and a major contrast to the hotel.

Stayed here for a week with my mom and wasn't disappointed. The only destination I was able to fly to with my available dates and to be honest I'd never fancied Cyprus but this hotel won me over. Really had the wow factor with the lobby and pool areas, restaurants are beautiful too and the service was incredible especially from Rachel from hospitality who really helped us decide what to do with our time. Lots of people have mentioned how pricey the drinks were, I think they were reasonably priced for a 5 star hotel but I guess if you like drinking alot then yeah you'd rack up a big bill! The bedrooms are very spacious and extremely comfortable all with balconies i think?! But I do think they could do with a bit of updating decor wise, compared to the rest of the hotel they are a little dated. However this would not put me off rebooking as the pool and beach areas are breathtaking, the service is fantastic (staff are attentive but not pushy), location is quiet but a short picturesque seaside walk to central Paphos and the food in the a la carte restaurants is fabulous especially the Japanese place. Oh and the spa offers great treatments, would highly reccommend the Royal Thai massage. They really have got it right here, if you need pushing in the right direction for activities or like things to be planned for you they're great but if like me a little more independent they really respect that and leave you to it. Great resort, hope to return

I stayed here for a few days in January.
We had a lovely room with a view of the pool area. There was a complementary bottle of wine and fruit.
The staff were wonderful.
Breakfast in the morning was also fantastic, with so much choice.
On departure we also had a nice bottle of olive oil left for us.
I was here on buisness, but would love to return for a holiday.

This was our third visit to the amathus in paphos and we were not dissapointed. Our room was
a large double on the third floor with a balcony giving magnificent views of the large pool and gardens and out to sea, an ideal outlook. The evening meals were varied and delicious. Staff were friendly and obliging and made a relaxing week pass really quickly
