“DISGRACEFUL at St NICHOLAS, stay away!”

We have just visited St Nicholas Complex in Paphos, UNBELIEVABLE.....NO lighting in the Common Areas, on stair way etc.
SHUT : Restaurant, Shop,
GREEN, water in swimming pools , absolutely filthy.
RUBBISH : every where.
We were told that facilities have been cut off due to bad Management and some owners
not paying the bills.......who knows, but I would NOT recommend this place at all.

Very disgusted customer.

“Falling standards”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2011

Stayed often whilst in Paphos on business and enjoys a great location outside of town.
This stay was worst to date due to electricity cut off in blocks and no lights at night. Needed to use my mobile phione to see my way up stairs of the block. Still cold for outside swimming but pools were dirty and green in places. Restaurant shut - shop shut and not open till April I was told. Indoor pool not heated and could not use along with broken and dirty sauna and jacuuzi. To sum up - great studio clean and well equipped BUT general areas very poor indeed.

“A great price for an independent traveller”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2010

I stayed in St Nicolas in Sept 2010 and booked through holiday lettings.

Firstly I would like to say that Neville the property owner of 104 Atalanta House was great, booking was simple, payment and deposit was via pay pal and I received the deposit back promptly.

Atalanta house itself is not fully finished it's almost there just a few final bits which need completing the apartment however was absolutely beautiful, well equipped, clean and perfect in every way. The balcony was quite large and was a real sun trap.

The resort was nice and the pool was quite quiet when We took a trip to it. The restaurant on site sold good value large meals.

The temperature was a lot hotter than I thought it would be for the time of year but the aircon was good and the apartment stayed relatively cool.

I really enjoyed going to the beach each day-would recommend coral bay. The water there is so clear and the beach is clean. The port was also a great hangout and had loads of bars and cafes. You can also take boat trips. Cyprus is a cultural experience there is lots of roman architecture and a trip to the mosaics is a must.

To stay self catering in Cyprus you have to be quite independent to get the best out of the holiday and be prepared to travel a little to see the sights- As advertised by the owner you would need to have hired a car- the bus is a long walk down a steep hill ( which would mean an even longer walk up!!!)

The only bad thing I have to say about the stay was that the ROPUK team failed to show for our meet and greet, we had to wait for 20mins in the boiling hot sun got fed up and then called them on the telephone number on the office door. They never seemed to be on site and never bothered with us for the whole stay. This didn't bother me tbh but a less independent traveller may have found it a bit daunting (my boyfriend said he wouldn't have got as much from the holiday had i not been there to show him the sites and he a package holiday type)

I loved the freedom that the apartment gave us and would definitely stay here again.

“Check the Air conditioning!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2010

The apartment itself was absolutely beautiful. However, we booked an apartment with air conditioning as we had a one year old baby with us, what wasn't explained is that the air conditioning is on a maximum of two hour timer. So our first night we spent setting out alarm for every two hours to reset the air conditioning in our babies bedroom in 30 degree heat. This was not what we had paid for! However when we contacted the owner at home and explained that this was ruining our holiday; he did send an electrician to remove the timer within the hour. This meant our baby slept well at night and we could relax and enjoy our holiday. There is also no sky TV in the apartment as advertised, it didn't bother us but it is advertised and its not there.

Apart from these two issues we had a great time and would recommend the apartment as long as the timers are acceptable to you or removed.

“Great family holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 May 2010

There were five adults and one toddler and we had a lovely family holiday. The flat was very tastefully decorated and well appointed. It had a lovely big balcony with a (distant) sea view. The outdoor pools were lovely, our son used the gym every day and we used the tennis courts. The restaurant was good value for money and the staff very friendly. The complex was very quiet and - a great place to chill out. Would recommned hiring a car. We intended to stay for a week and stayed a fortnight thanks to volcanic ash! The owners couldn't have been more helpful. Owners' website www.stnicholaspaphos.com
