Our stay coincided with some very bad wet and windy weather. This unfortunately this meant that the stairs going up to our room were very wet and slippery (and dangerous with bags). The rain water also came in the bathroom window (somehow) flooding the floor which refused to dry. The second morning there was no hot water.
On the positive side, the staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms were large and adequately stoked for self catering (except washing up liquid). There were good lighting and plenty of power sockets (a clincher for a good hotel). Beds were very comfortable and cosy.
Overall I was happy with the hotel. I guess staying mid summer would be very different.
