“Cyprus in November”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Nice Hotel, great grounds and pool area although too cold to swim in comfort. First room had an adjoining door which let in lots of noise and SMOKE,( Russian Variety ) . It had a vestigial balcony and a side view.
They changed the room for a brilliant one on the top floor with a proper balcony and great view, but at additional cost, reduced after a bit of haggling.
All the food is buffet style but pretty good on the whole.
The staff are largely east European with a minority Cypriot but they all spoke English quite well.
Attention to minor room defects was exceptional.

Room Tip: Dont get a side room with tiny balcony.

Dear reviewer,

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Trip Advisor community. Although the outdoor swimming pools are quite cold this time of the year, we do have a heated indoor swimming pool within our brand new Serenity Spa. We look forward to welcoming you back to our resort.

“Luxury of a 5 star hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Very comfortable 5 day stay in an impressive hotel. Decor is a bit dated with dark furniture and cracked marble but the beds are comfortable, the sea views outstanding, lashings of hot water, good food and excellent amenities. All complimented by very polite, courteous and attentive staff. Only real downside was the charge made for access to the internet - something that should be inclusive for such a prestigious hotel and the cost of a 0.5 litre bottle of water at €3.50 which I considered uneccessarily expensive

Dear Reviewer,
Thank you for your review. We do appreciate your feedback and have noted all your points. We pride ourselves in offering the very best value for money accommodation and meal plan packages and as such have won Cyprus’ leading all inclusive resort 4 years in a row. Our five star ultra all inclusive package gives our guests the opportunity to have breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as in-between meals and snacks in a single all inclusive room rate, in keeping with our very competitive prices we do charge for internet access. However, guests who do book direct with the hotel do not have this charge so it may be worth noting for the future. We are currently upgrading our wireless infrastructure to make way for all the modern smart phone devices and widening our service availability throughout our resort. We do hope to welcome you back to our resort.

“Nice hotel, great service and kids facilities but could do with an update to the decor as its dated”

Stayed here for the first time in October with my wife and kids. It's a great hotel to stay with kids as the hotel grounds are great for kids and great facilities and kids club.
The service is also exceptional.
Only negative is that it has quite dated decor that needs to be updated

“Nice short winter vacation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

Been there for a couple of days. Stayed at a marina view room on the 2nd floor. The view was great , I advise you to go for this view instead of just sea view. The rooms are in very good condition, spacious and comfortable. The balcony is large too. Our room was at the main building which I have realised needs refurbishment in the common use areas like corridors, the lobby, the elevators etc. ut it is clean. They are in the process of refurbishing the hotel piece by piece as the Octagon restaurant was closed for full renovation. The staff are very polite and helpful. Breakfast was very decent, internet charges are high, 6 euro for an hour ... Plenty of underground parking space, in the summer it must be great being there, nice beach and pool, childrens playground, beautiful gardens, bars and restaurants, don't miss a drink or supper at Sailor's Rest cafe restaurant. Although pricey it's really worth it due to its position next to the marina and you feel like you are in the sea. Another tip, the new building has more beautiful and brand new rooms inland or sea view !!

Room Tip: Go for Marina view on main building for stunning marina/sea views , or for a sea/inland view room on...

Dear Reviewer,

Thank you for your review, we do appreciate positive and negative feedback because this helps us fine tune our award winning resort to ensure that our guests get the very best value for money experience. All aspects of our resort and undergoing renovation as you rightly pointed out “piece by piece”. We are very excited to be offering a brand new Octagon restaurant for the new season and have more plans in the works for public areas, rooms and suites as well as our other restaurants and bars. We are currently in the process of restructuring our Wifi systems and pricing structures. We do hope to welcome you back again soon should you travel plans bring you to the Limassol area. All the best

“Fantastic Wedding on Paradise Island!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

people found this review helpful

We travelled as a family group for Christmas and New Year Celebrations including our Wedding on the 30th December at the St Raphael Resort.
From the moment we arrived until the day that we Checked out our every need was catered for, the staff and management were absolutely fantastic.
From the rooms to the setting to the food, all was 5 star!
We will definitely be returning this year once again for the New Year Celebrations and our 1st wedding anniversary!
The hotel itself is a grand building with excellent lifts to all floors including the new executive wing, to which we were upgraded for our wedding day and the following week after for a wedding gift.
Access to the pools, beach, restaurants, bars and lovely gardens are all easily accessible via the lifts and ramps.
The setting is stunning for all weddings in our opinion, also including winter weddings, we had the choice of the Gardens with gazebo, under the old Olive Tree or the Greek Chapel and Ampitheatre which is what we chose just incase of bad weather etc, however it turned out that our wedding day was perfect sunshine, no wind and minimal cloud which made our day even more special then we could of hoped for, we had our photographs taken in a variety of locations including the beach and gardens due to the glorious weather!
We had our wedding reception in the Captains Lounge Bar in the afternoon our wedding which we had asked for Canapes and Prosecco to be served there waiting for us which it was, perfectly laid out and served to us individually.
For the evening we ventured down to the Sailors Rest Restaurant for our evening meal, though we were all inclusive we wanted to eat somewhere different just for something extra special, which it surely was, beautifully prepared food, setting and wines!
The Christmas eve and day Meals were exceptionally prepared as were our other nights of dining, our table was reserved daily and the wine which we chose was waiting on ice for us every evening at the head of our table.
New years eve was once again an amazing night filled with a Live DJ playing a variety of international music to suit everyones tastes, also live entertainment and a table served 5 course meal, the staff were super and more wine, drinks etc was brought to us as soon as they saw that we were running low!
The indoor pool is also an added bonus including the Gym, Jacuzzi, Steam room and Sauna, we used these facilities most days for relaxing and also for when the weather became a bit iffy.
All in all this hotel is amazing, we would recommend to everyone and we will be returning this year once again!
Thankyou to all staff for their hard work for making our stay and wedding day extra special!

Room Tip: Book an executive marina, beach, pool and sea view room!
