I stayed here for one week from the 5th October with hubby and 5 year old son and had one of the best holidays ever.
On arrival we were greeted by a friendly lady on reception and were taken by buggy to our room.. We had booked just studio, however we were upgraded for free to a one bedroom appartment which over looked the pool and bar area!!
The room was basic but very clean and spacious. Beds were firm, but we all found them comfortable and slept very well all week. I don't think the towels or sheets were changed much on our stay, but the maids were all very friendly and I'm sure that they would have only been to pleased to provide fresh towels if asked.
The resort is set in massive beautiful gardens, we saw avacados, lime, grapes, sharon fruit and lychees (see if you can find them, they are yummy!) growing. Its a hot country so therefore there is lots of wildlife to be seen as well - large lizards, centipeads, ants, butterflies, scorpions, cockroaches and of course the famous Elia Latchi tarantula. Yes they do exist as I found out while sitting on my sunbed round the pool!! Just yell someone will soon come and get it and put it back where it belongs in the gardens!!!
Lots of daytime entertainment organised by the brilliant Nadia - try archery, boules, darts and water aerobics. My little boy could not wait to spend the morning and afternoon with Alex in the kids club and as it was out of school holidays he had her pretty much to himself. Alex was great with the kids and even came up to me one evening and comment on how much she had enjoyed spending time with my son!
The evening entertainment again organised by Nadia! was things like mini disco for the kids, pub quizzes, kareoke ect and all good fun!! There was a magic show one night and a belly dancer on another night both were good.
We stayed all inclusive and found all the food to be good. Breakfast had all the usual things and you must try the fresh pancakes mmm. Lunch and evening meals were quite similar with a nice choice of greek style cooking which included things like tasty meat stews, lovely Cypriot potatoes in olive oil, moussaka, roast meat, houmous, tatziki, and taramasalata. You would not go hungry and have no idea why anyone would feel the need to eat out (unless you don't like unfussy Cypriot home style cooking?) Snacks were served from the main pool bar at various times of the day, hot dogs, toasties burgers ect, all tasty. Drinks were all good and I think my little boy must have ate and drank his own weight in icecreams and pukka chuckas!!! (the kids have their own non alcoholic cocktail menu!!)
The main pool area was great ( and still warm enough to swim in ) and all very clean, we did however venture down to the beach and harbour a few times. The beach is very rocky so make sure you take you swim shoes. It was warmer in the sea then the pool (strange?) Nice little beach bar to the right with childrens play ground and harbour to the left is worth a wander round. There are 2 more pools on site (one with a nice kids playground) both really nice but we did not spend much time at them as it was out of season and all the action was centred round the main pool!
So to finish a big thanks to all the wonderful staff who really helped make it a memorable holiday and we would love to return one day!
