“Nice hotel,by the beach - friendly staff.”

We came back from a short trip to Larnaka.I traveled with my elderly mother who is using a cane to walk and my teenage daughter. We stayed in room 539 which had a sea ,front view.It had 2 balkonies but it was a bit hot in the afternoon. The front view was amazing every hour of the day!We had a double room where another very confortable bed was added(not a roller bed). When I phoned there to confirm our arrival I found out that the elevator to the breakfast restaurant wasn't working. That meant a problem for us since my moter coundn't climb the stairs. When we arrived they offered us a free room service but finally we found out that the hotel had a wheel chair that was given to us without any charge for the 3 days.We even used when we visited Larnaka by taxi. That was a big bonus for us because my mother could "participate" to our activities. The reception staff was great!(especially a tall, good looking young man).Even the last morning they informed us that we could have breakfast at 6.30 even if service was starting at 7.00.
The room was nice, cleaned every day, with a welcome drink and a small sweet gift for us.The mini fridge was rented for a small price per day but finally we didn't pay a thing.2 bathrobes and pairs of sleepers were provided and everyone could take free beach towels everyday. My only complaint was that the indoor pool was not heated altough the sea and pool water was cold.Maybe english and russian tourists like that but for us coming from Greece the water was cold. We were on a half board base.Breakfast was very good, with nice variety but I didn't like the coffee from a machine(although hot chocolate was good). The dinner was to our taste the first night but not so much the 2 next days (where they had italian and international buffet.Sweets were good the second day)
Overall,we had a nice staying although I think individual prices are quite high for this hotel.I must admeet that staff's concern for my mother was important for us and I thank them very much

“Lordos Beach Hotel”

We stayed for 10 days and enjoyed the whole experience. It is easy to take the bus into Larnaca - a place we liked. The staff at the Hotel are very helpful. Food is served Buffet style and there is lots of choice. As we arrived, it was my wife's birthday and when we returned to our room to change for the first evening meal, to our surprise, the staff had left a birthday cake with candles!

“A place for relaxing vacation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 September 2011

Good seaside hotel, oriented mainly to families with kids. Location is good - right on the beach, outside the crowded resorts. It is easy to travel around - less than 10 km. from Larnaka, 30 km. from Agia Napa; if you don't hire a car bus stops for Larnaka (every 30min - 1 hour) and Agia Napa (several courses per day) are very near to the hotel.
The standard double rooms are normal sized (though not too big). The rooms and hotel grounds are well kept with everyday cleaning.
We were on B&B basis - the breakfast was good and varied enough (though e.g. watermelons might be added). 4-5 small restorants around (e.g. "Diana" is a pleasant place; "Daniel" is more 'tourist-menu' oriented) and 2 (super)markets.
Enough sunbeds on the beach and around the 4 pools. The beach is not just sandy - sand + soil (not too hot to walk barefooted).
The wifi is 10 Euro per day (seeming expensive) or 30 EURO per 7-10 days. Professional reception service, providing tourist advice and excursion organisation.
A specific point: the hotel specially announces late check-out service, though it seems that any efforts for its organisation are not considered (e.g. collecting late arrivals info, collecting orders for late check-out at check-in time, planning the accommodations according the orders etc.) - without such measures the announcement is mainly for show, as most resort middle-sized/big hotels apply paid late check-out in case of availability (and small hotels - even without payment).

“A budget hotel - in that respect it delivers.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

I stayed at The Lordos Beach Hotel for 2 nights in September for a business trip to Cyprus. While I am sure that Lordos ticks all the right boxes for 4*s, there is something lacking about this hotel that is hard to put your finger on.

The grounds are lovely and well kept with a range of swimming pools to choose from, the hotel has all you would expect including gym, terrace and pool bars and direct access to the beach. However it feels somewhat tired and almost municipal in places. The hotel charges 10 Euros for internet access, which is something the management should address, especially as there are a range of bars offering free wifi (Modo being the nicest in my opinion – left out of the hotel and near the Pizza Hut).

It is fair to say that Dhekelia itself is “rugged”. The strip of local taverns, restaurants and the obligatory English pubs certainly look better at night. Nevertheless there is enough to keep you occupied for a week. If you want to go a bit more local then I can recommend Vygenes which offers a superb meze where the food just keeps coming for 17 Euros.

This is budget hotel and in that respect it delivers.

Nice quiet hotel (kids had gone back to school) right on the beach. Plenty of sun beds both on the beach and in the garden and pool areas. Nice room with a great sea view. Good value for pint of KEO for a 4* hotel.
