Chose this hotel purely for its location and we were not disappointed. It's very close to Kyrenia harbour (about 200m) and right on the seafront. The hotel is old (built in the 1930s) but has a certain charm and character. It has a car park at the rear, which is free to use for guests and unusual for a resort centre hotel. There are plenty of shops and restaurants close by.

The restaurant where breakfast and evening meals are served had wonderful sea views. Breakfast was buffet style with hot and cold food, but the hot food was always cold. If you want hot food, ask the chef to cook you a cheese omelette or fried egg. The evening meal was also buffet style, and again, the food was barely warm.

The reception staff and cleaners were very friendly and welcoming. Our room on the third floor was basic and needed updating. It had a balcony overlooking the front of the hotel, a television, a mini bar and hairdryer, but no tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom suite was in desperate need of replacing; the enamel was peeling off the bath and there were holes in the wall where once had been bathroom fittings. The hot water was luke warm and just about hot enough for a shower, but definitely not hot enough for a bath. The beds were extremely comfortable and we always had a good night's sleep. We had free wireless internet access in our room, which was very useful.

Overall a very good hotel, but the cold food and luke warm water let it down.

Though the hotel itself is a little on the tired side, it has a fabulous location, with the outdoor pool and sea swimming on your doorstep. Really enjoyed the stay.

We stayed at the Dome Hotel for 2 nights from 28th September. The location of the hotel is excellent and is only a 5 minute stroll from the harbour and main shopping area. The large infinity swimming pool, outside sunbathing area and breakfast area are very good. Although some areas of the hotel are very pleasant, notably the lobby, staircase and lounge area, the hotel itself has a very tired look and some of the corridors have large damp areas. The room (242) was very large but was not furnished very well, the safe did not work, there were no tea/coffee making facilities and we could not get any decent TV channels. The bathroom was very poorly finished. We had a very large balcony with very cheap chairs and a table. The breakfast was very average but I have no complaints regarding the staff. Sadly I do not think that this is a 4 Star Hotel. This is not a cheap hotel and you can get much better value for money elsewhere in Kyrenia.

This hotel is very stylish "old colonial" feel to Reception which is very smart, clean and beautifully appointed. Reception efficient and polite. Bedroom clean, roomy, lovely balcony overlooking the sea (room 242). Breakfast gave lots of choice but not so good on cooked food if that is what you want in 97 degrees F.!! Terrace overlooking the pool for breakfast outside fantastic atmosphere or you could eat inside if you prefer. Waiters efficient in clearing tables. All staff speak English and nothing appears to be too much trouble. Great Holiday would certainly recommend. Their 4 star rating is not quite up to English AA standards but would certainly be a ++3 star at the top of that range.
