Liechtenstein isn't the biggest country in the world and given that Vaduz (the capital) only has about 20 hotels to choose from we didn't spend too much time looking for a hotel. I don't think many people head to Liechtenstein for a holiday - rather they pass through, or divert there to get their passport stamped - as we did.
We had a lovely 24 hour stay at the Landhaus am Giessen - the room was a decent size and had a balcony looking out towards the city/church. The bathroom wasn't large - but perfectly fine for a short stay.
Best of all - they have their own indoor pool - which was very welcome - given that the temperatures must have been in the high 30's outside. The pool is a decent size - not a standard 25/50m - but certainly as big as most UK health clubs.
The breakfast was plain and simple - but the rolls were nice and so was the tea/coffee.
Parking was excellent - we had our car and trailer parked at the back of the hotel in the shade so it was lovely and cool in the morning.
I wouldn't have a problem staying there again - but don't intend to visit Liechtenstein again so probably won't.
