Just returned from the Novotel Kirchberg following a three night stay exploring the Luxembourg and German Christmas markets.....upon arrival it looks a very modern hotel all glass fronted and it continues through into the interior, very stylish reception and bar / restaurant areas....Rooms are a very good size with 2 kingsize beds in each room, Bathrooms very clean, tea & coffee facilities along with a mini bar fridge, Although, Only 1 english channel on the TV I'm afraid.....BBC world news!! Buffet breakfast was very substantial, pretty much everything you could want, full cooked breakfasts, meats, cheeses, smoked salmon, breads, pastries, yoghurts, fresh fruit etc.....you won't struggle to eat! I was only B&B and didn't eat the restaurant so I couldn't comment on the evening food as we went into the City for food and beers each night......Great regular bus service (approx every 10 mins) into town from outside the hotel (When leaving reception door turn left then walk towards all the european flags then turn right onto main road and bus stop in front of you) Bus No's 1 & 16 into the city (only 3 stops and about 5 mins journey time 1euro 50cents each way), Coming back to the hotel Bus No's 1, 13, & 16 travelling to Philharmonie stop, You can enjoy an evening out in town as the last bus home is 11.26pm......Only used the bus to get around so not too sure how much to get around in a taxi......Scott's Pub in the Grund district is well worth a visit for a couple of beers, very cosy feel at this time of the year with a huge open fire burning logs and always busy.......Although, No smoking restrictions in Luxembourg pubs as yet so it's back to the old days with your clothing a little smelly at the end of the evening! Overall, A top hotel and a great interesting little city!!
