Great central location with nearby public car park facility. Could be a nice hotel and indeed has a good write up from the local Tourist Board (why we stayed there)!. Room on 3rd floor was basic and the €130 per night price well past its comparable limit to other hotels in Europe we stayed in this past month. Top bedding cover definitely well worn and in need of replacement but sheets below were clean.Wall decor in bedroom required a lick of paint/new paper! Sadly there was absolutely no hot water to wash or shower either the evening/night of day 1 or following morning when we stayed. Whilst these things do happen from time to time, it is customary for the hotel management to show some sympathy and deal with the problem appropriately.....dont expect that in this hotel as we did not experience such ! Whilst the poor unempowered receptionist did agree with our point and offered us to stay an extra hour or so once the hot water was fixed on day of check out, the man in charge on a telephone was both rude to his receptionist and only focused on the €130....clearly our standards of cleanliness and expectations of a hotel taking responsibility differ from his ! Apparently the hotel is under new management and will be the Hotel Vauban but today it retains the Casanova name on all literature/signage. The hot water problem should be a 1 off but if you experience any problems our guess is that you will not get what you expected and do get from a quality hotel/chain

Most things in this city are expensive, this hotel is no exception - for what it offers, however it is clean and comfortable for basic needs. Our two rooms were rather bare-looking, but very clean, view over a small yard. I believe some rooms have better views, but we didn't mind as we only stayed one night. This is a small hotel with a small restaurant, we only ate breakfast there. Limited choice for breakfast: croisant; bread; jam; coffee - definately Continental. Had to climb stairs with luggage - no lift to our floor, no help was offered by staff. Apart from that, the staff were efficient and courteous. The best thing about this place is the location, in a beautiful square near the city centre. No parking, had to use public underground car park nearby, quiet convenient.

I visited Luxembourg for leisure for 2 days 1 night in January 2009 in the middle of my France trip. I tried to find a hotel near the rail station but finally had drifted to this central area where the hotel is located. No single room is available for me but as I had been too tired in walking with my luggage on shoulder, I accepted a double room at Euro 110 with breakfast included.

Though it's on the upper side of my budget, it worths. Staff and other residents are friendly and nice. I stayed on the 2nd Floor with a very good view facing the square, could see the church and hotel del ville. The room is large, clean and cozy. I had had lunch and breakfast in the restaurant on the ground floor and food are quality. Location of the hotel is good with Tourist Information Centre nearly next to it, bus terminal 10 minutes away, rail station 20 minutes afar. But I didn't find any supermarket nearby.

I particulary like the atmosphere there. The church rings every 15 minutes and it characterizes my trip. I didn't find it annoying as it didn't disturb my sleeping. At night, I watched the square with people occasionally walking across and the hotel del ville in the opposite side lighted up in yellow. What a beautiful picture.

Though I may not visit the country again as I did not find many attractions, if someone goes there, I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is perfectly situated in the centre market square among other hotels / Restaurants and main attractions .
The room was quite small although clean ,
The Hotel offers free WI-FI access and the standard English CNN on the cable package TV.
Although Parking is not availble ,we were able to park in the overnight car park directly underground the hotel.(for a price)approx 18 euros a day .
We considered staying near the station part of the city , however are so glad we opted for main part of the city instead!
All in all though this hotel allowed us to enjoy our stay even more with its great location
