OK...the hotel is close to the railway station and presents itself very well. The staff are excellent and helpful. The rooms also appear clean. However, apparently it is a non-smoking hotel. I find this difficult to believe as the halls and our room stunk of cigarettes. They have non-smoking signs up yet ashtrays are provided in the room. Certainly a conflicting message. After one night stay of coughing we left. I am not exaggerating it the slightest that our clean night clothes after one night in their bed smelled of cigarettes...so the duvet / doona was full of it. A more fitting name for this establishment could be The Benson and Hedges or The Philip Morris. I do hope management fix this issue up as it is the only downfall to a very nice hotel.
