Hotel Francais is clean, conveniently located and is a great place to stay for the money. The breakfast is a nice way to start the day. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the rooms are as quiet as a mouse. We definitely recommend this hotel.

This was my third stay at the Hotel Francais in as many trips to Luxembourg. It has the best location, right on the Place d'Armes. Everything is within a few minutes walk, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the hotel is modern and charming with a fine restaurant right downstairs. The rooms facing the square out front can get noisy, especially during the summer, so I prefer to take a room with no view facing the back. I will stay here again on my next visit.

We stayed here for one night to see the sights of Luxembourg. Hotel staff are very busy but efficient and very helpful when asked. Rooms are clean, modern and small. Very good value for the price. Restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner. Great location on a beautiful square.

Stayed at this hotel with a friend for 2 nights in September 2010. Picked it based on location and price and reviews on Trip Advisor. Room 22, terrible view. Excellent location right on Place D’Armes. Walking distance to bus stops, shopping and plenty of restaurants. Not walking distance to the train station. The most important things to me are that the room is clean and in a good walkable location. The room was very clean and simple. Typical small room, which was fine. Bathroom was fine, but the shower was super small. I’m a small person and it was challenging even for me. If you plan to sleep during the day at all, you’ll want to bring earplugs. Staff wasn’t overly friendly, but they were fine, not rude. Breakfast was good, but not over the top. Croissants, cereal, yogurt, cheese, meat, mixed fruit, coffee, juice. Free wifi. I would stay here again.
