We stayed one night at the Golden Tulip Central Molitor and will definitely return. We were welcomed in a very warm way by the receptio n and had a great dinner the first night. Special thanks to the waiter who offered spotless service, the food was great as is the winelist, offering several interesting wines also in demi-bouteilles. The hotel is well located, parking well available in the guarded public parking garage with reserved parking spots for hotel guests. The room offers averythinh one needs, all in all a wonderful stay!

This hotel is very easy to get to. It is 5 mins walk from the station, and the airport bus, number 16, stops almost outside.
It is an old building with a small lift. Rooms are perfectly fine. There is no aircon, so we had the window open and it was quite noisy during the night. The rooms are clean, but there is no room safe.
Breakfast is a standard European spread and coffee is good.
There is not a terrific amount to see in Luxembourg but like this hotel it is pleasant enough.

Contrary to expectations that Luxembourg is a dull city full of Eurocrats and bankers, it is
an excellent place for a city break. The old city has one of the most dramatic situations in
Europe, perched on a huge cliff overlooking wooded valleys. There are enough historic
buildings and museums to fill a weekend and the valleys are worth exploring - picturesque villages with mediaval fortifications. It's a small city so there aren't masses of night-time venues but we found some friendly bars with a studenty alternative crowd.

The Central Molitor is fairly small but friendly, with well appointed rooms and is in a great location - an easy 10 minute walk to the old city.

Tip - If you are driving to Luexmbourg you can park for free on the street at a metered bay
between 6pm Friday and 8am Monday. If you feed the meter with 3 Euros after 6 pm on Sunday you can extend your stay until 10 am, so you can have a leisurely departure.

We stayed one night in Luxembourg, and the reason why we picked this hotel was because we had read reviews on Trip Advisor that the hotel had a good breakfast. It was in fact the worst breakfast we have even eaten in any hotel anywhere in the world. The whole time we were in the dining room, there were no staff to be seen anywhere. The hot water urn was broken, and there was no staff around to ask to get hot water for us, so tea was off the menu. The fruit salad was so old you could taste the fruit going off. The scrambled eggs were made from powdered eggs. We were very disappointed, but luckily we had enough time to grab something decent to eat from the train station before we headed off.

The hotel itself was average, nothing special. This may possibly be an ok hotel for business, minus the breakfast, however I’m sure there are better hotels than this in Luxembourg to stay at.
