We picked this hotel purely for it's location. FIrst we were brought into a room with unmade beds stinking of cigarette smoke, when we rang down we were told it was the wrong room. Breakfast was poor to say the least - some awful white bread, ham and cheap processed cheese was the only option - wait there was cornflakes as well. We told the waitress there was no cheese left and were told "I know". I didn't have breakfast again after the first day. The rooms were very warm and our aircon didn't work. The only good thing about this hotel is the location and the view of Valetta. Sleeping was another challenge here. The beds were of poor quality, we woke up every morning with back ache. To top all of that the noise from the road below kept us awake and had to get earplugs for the remaining evenings. Would I stay here again? Most probably not

This is the fifth time that as club we are using this hotel for our foreign participants. Perfect location in the heart of Sliema, excellent views, many Shops around, not far from Leisure places, from just opposite the road one can take a Cruise, goes to Valletta by ferry, around Malta Sightseeing and many Bus routes. Cheerful staff, very kind owner and flexible management. Really good value for money!

Wearrived late at night and were immediately asked to pay the full amount for the stay even though we had paid a 50% deposit. The room was smoke filled even though we sked for a no smoking room. In the morning there was no hot water and we were told taht yo had to press a switch and wait 20 minutes. One of the light switces was broken and the switch actually fell apart leaving it in a dangerous situation. The brakfast which was included was ordinary. The building is tired and the staff unpleasant. We decided to move and were told the depsoit would be forfeited. When complaining about the non smoking we were told taht the ash tray may have belonged to a former visitor but the maid said that they were always in the room. When showing the manager the broken switch he suggested we may have done that. The only saving grace for this hotel is the view to Valetta but is that worth the poor accomodation. We thought not and moved to the Preluma which yes costs more but is nice and has a viiew of teh entrance to the harbour.

Rotten hotel, and the cafe is a joke. Looks nice from the outside, but the coffee is the worst on the island and the fridge rattles like a box of nails. The fridge on the right as soon as you walk in is filled with half drunk bottles of soda. To boot, I was asked by the hotel manager not to plug a laptop into the power. The first time in 10 years of plugging in at cafes. Its an Apple Air, for goodness sakes. Short minded management with little regard for customer service.
