The hotel is ok for stying in the borders. The room we were in was a standard room, a wee bit old fashioned with flowery curtains and wooden furniture. Pool is not very big but again ok for a dip. Good service from friendly staff.
Location is out in the hills, feel very isolated, ideal if you want to get way from it all but close enough to Edinburgh.

Spent 3 nights here and could not have had better service and comfort. All staff very friendly and helpful with no requests too much trouble. One of our group is blind and he was made to feel very much at home here. Our spacious rooms overlooked the golf course and the bathroom had a large walk in shower as well as a bath, so perfect for all needs. Food was excellent and leisure facilities very good. Very pleasant and quite big lounge area with nice comfy chairs and a welcoming fire. Plenty to do in the surrounding areas and lovely walks along the river in nearby Peebles. Would definately go back.

My friend and I stayed here for two nights,when we first arrived we got a complimentary upgrade,we had a lovely room overlooking the golf course,the room was very clean and spacious. We had patio doors that took us out onto course and we could also bring our golf clubs this way to save going in the hotel.The meals and service were excellent,and some lovely views and walks by the river tweed,I would recommend for a nice winter break excellent facilities, we will definetly be going back.

Our third time at this comfortable hotel with excellent food and friendly, professional staff. We stayed three nights on a D,B&B basis in a 'classic' room which although at the front of the hotel, had a good view over the hills. Previously, we have had a room overlooking the golf course and this is also very pleasant, the rooms are a little larger but perhaps not so warm at this time of year. The leisure facilities are very clean and warm. We felt the wine prices were a little more reasonable this time with a very nice tempranillo at about £18. We love walking in this area and look forward to our next visit!
