“Great Hotel Wonderful Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Everything positive that there is to be said about this hotel is true. This is great hotel with friendly staff and is excellent value for money. It's very clean, the amenities are excellent and it even comes with breakfast included in the price! It is right on the dual carriageway and go slow when you see the services sign as the entrance is located just at the start.

Room Tip: The hotel doesn't have a lift so if you're disabled be sure to call the hotel and ask for a...

“Unable to fault it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

We had booked for a family of 3 to stay for 2 nights - although not in the centre of Canterbury, so you do need to have a car, but at the price of £35 per room, there was no contest. We did not know what to expect as the hotel is right on the side of a busy carriageway. But the place cannot be faulted. We were greeted with friendly staff and after a quick check in went to our room. The room was ample size for the three of us and it was laid out for three, with plenty of towels, pillows and tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom was a good size with a powershower and shower gel. The room was to the side of the property therefore it was very quiet. The room was extremely clean too. Breakfast was very adequate: yoghurts, fruit, cheese, hot and cold drinks, toast, rolls, croissant, beans, sausages and scrambled egg. We had an evening meal there as bad snow weather was forecast, whilst the drink prices were quite high (paying for the convenience, but the wine was a good taste) the food was lovely, freshly cooked and tasty. Melwyn Felizardo and his team are a credit to the hotel, highly recommend and would stay again.

“Overnight stay for 5 people - terrific value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

I booked 2 rooms for my Family of 5 for an overnight stop and recieved excellant service at check in, the rooms were modern, well decorated , very clean and well equipped including Tea & Coffee, and we had a very acceptable breakfast. We paid under £35 per room & so frankly the quality of service was astonishingly good for the price. Its a bit out of town but in town prices are much higher. Highly recommended.

“Comfortable stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and 3 days during our trip to Dover and Canterbury. Its a decent place to stay amidst the busy carriageway (A2). Our room was neat and clean, situated away from the carriageway. We reached the hotel late in evening, and were very hungry...we saw the hotel chef in the lobby who gave us an overview of nearby places to eat and offered to cook egg fried rice for our 3 year old daughter. Not only that, he offered to cook us a nice indian meal as well...Within 30 minutes, our meal was ready and wonderful! Our great thanks to him...
The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly...Overall, I would truly stay there again, if needed..

“pleasantly surpised”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

I wondered why this type of convenience hotel appeared so high up the list as usually prefer to book a more independent hotel. However after a couple of other choices did not fit criteria - then thought we would give this a shot. We usually visit my wife's relatives nearby whenever we go over or under the channel & we did the same for this business trip. I was not expecting too much as the price paid was great value, but from all aspects completely happy. After reading other reviews - we asked for a quieter room with good wifi - which the young guy on the reception pleasantly provided for us. The wifi was easy & good to use. The room was clean, simple but modern with all necessary amenities. It was a good size also with desk & sofa. the bathroom was also well laid out, a good size clean & with a powerful shower - always a plus point. Breakfast the next morning was also better than anticipated as I imagined just some bread & jam plus cereals. However there was also hot food, fruit & yoghurts. All the staff were polite & really for the value could not fault the place. Will definitely use in future as a great location to jump back on the road for the crossings.

Room Tip: as others - quieter rooms are away from the road side..
