We had booked for a family of 3 to stay for 2 nights - although not in the centre of Canterbury, so you do need to have a car, but at the price of £35 per room, there was no contest. We did not know what to expect as the hotel is right on the side of a busy carriageway. But the place cannot be faulted. We were greeted with friendly staff and after a quick check in went to our room. The room was ample size for the three of us and it was laid out for three, with plenty of towels, pillows and tea/coffee facilities. The bathroom was a good size with a powershower and shower gel. The room was to the side of the property therefore it was very quiet. The room was extremely clean too. Breakfast was very adequate: yoghurts, fruit, cheese, hot and cold drinks, toast, rolls, croissant, beans, sausages and scrambled egg. We had an evening meal there as bad snow weather was forecast, whilst the drink prices were quite high (paying for the convenience, but the wine was a good taste) the food was lovely, freshly cooked and tasty. Melwyn Felizardo and his team are a credit to the hotel, highly recommend and would stay again.
