Stayed in room 210. Lovely room, well appointed, comfortable bed, great location. I could wish for a dishwasher and laundry facilities but otherwise excellent and reasonably priced. Staff were always friendly and helpful - but that seems to be an Icelandic trait.
Would definitely stay here again.

From the location.. in the shopping, entertainment, museum and gallery area.. to the decor being attractive & comfortable..to the warm & friendly staff, this is a great place. reading other posts I heard some loud partiers at times but I enjoyed looking out and seeing well dressed folks having fun and celebrating with gusto! nothing scary by any means and I had no trouble sleeping with window cracked. The girls were louder than the boys, which was odd but amusing. The staff saw me drive up and came outside to assist with parking without me even asking! Just appeared at my car window explaining parking meter workings and showing me the free parking! Can only remember my parents or close friends being so attentive and thats how it feels there, like your with family and friends. The cafe directly across the street from entrance has a great breakfast and the bookstore downstairs is very good.

Stayed in room 411 for 2 nights. What a lovely room. Flat screen tv, dvd player, cd player. Small kitchen nook eith dishes, stove, microwave, fridge. Kitchen table with 4 chairs. Lights with dimmer switch. Jacuzzi tub in bathroom. Loved the room.
Only one down side was the noise from the nearby bar at night-but it eas not that bad. Room is on 4th floor and facing the main street. Sea/ mountain view. There is a 6 person outdoor hot tub right outside room 411. Nice.
Great location in city center.

Stayed at Room With A View hotel for 5 days at the end of October. This is probably one of the best locations in Reykjavik - situated right in the middle of the main street and close to everything by foot. If you are travelling with up to 6 people, this place can accommodate you. Apartments are very slick looking in a Scandinavian style, clean and well furnished. From our fourth floor apartment we had access to a hot tub big enough for 8, a roof-top patio with BBQ and an awesome view. In addition, once you start looking at pricing for comparable facilities and location, you'll realize you get a lot for your money. Staff are also really nice and eager to assist in planning day trips or nights on the town.
