Booked the 3 bedroom apartment in which I was pleasantly surprised with the spaciousness and the homely feel with loads of books and all the essentials.
Location is very close to the centre of town.
I would definitely recommend staying here.

we picked a twin bed private suite. We stayed in two hostel / hotel before staying ar castle house. This was the best and had everything we need, clean toilet, mini kitchen, clean beds, excellent location etc, and near to the pond with so many ducks and gooses! It was actually sharing the same price with a 6 bed female dorm in one of the hostel in Reykjavik. Reli worth staying there. Definitely stay there again!

We arrived at airport and purchased our flybus + tickets.Arrived at BSI Station and transfered to a smaller bus to be taken to our accomodation!
We were taken to Hotel Holt and told that was the closest stop.Not a problem as we asked directions and set off down the hill lots of laughing along the way dragging our suit cases like mini snow ploughs!
Arrived at Castle house pressed buzzer,straight in,key and instructions to App 60 on table.
This apartment is one of 2 around the side of the building.A shared hallway which was warm and secure for leaving wet boots.
The apatment was perfect.Spotlessly clean,comfy bed.well equiped kitchen (no oven)there is a hob and microwave so no problem what so ever.
The bathroom is a wetroom with heated floor so you do get a puddle when showering.If you turn water pressure down slightly its fine,but then your given so many towels we just popped one on the floor.If your used to a wet room as we are its fine.
Really warm cozy comfy apartment.Hubby loved the recliner chair!
We ordered shopping which was all there and perfect for when we arrived (just remembered i still havent paid for it,must do that now)
We want to go back to Iceland and will book again at Castle house.

When we arrived at the airport, we were a little worried as we had pre booked the airport express bus and our flight had been delayed. However, the driver was waiting for us and after dropping off one other hotel dropped us off right at the door of the apartments.



Check in was a breeze and we soon settled in with a nice cup of tea and a little exploration of the apartment The apartments are very well presented and have everything that we needed for our self catering holiday. The bathroom in particular was finished to a great standard and even has under-floor heating.

The location is fantastic – so close to the city centre, yet far enough out not to be disturbed by city night life.

The Christmas vibe and all those lights were just amazing!

We hope to return to Reykjavik and when we do we WILL be staying here again
