Arrived sep 18 late asked for and got poolside appartment number 127,basic but ok.pool was very nice.restaurant not so nice,but breekfast is ok.Plenty of places to eat,silver rocks excellent,captains table very good and pizza place(turn right 100yards opp supermarket)very good.You really need a car to get around 15-20 pounds a day for small compact.If you go to nicosia wellworth crossing to south (needpassport) all in all not a bad place to stay with friendly staff.

second year and I am afraid ... it has deteriorated,!!!!! will not book another year at green holiday village .... sad it could be a lovely hotel...

What a place!

Very clean with amazingly well tended gardens surrounding all the accommodation blocks.

The staff are friendly and helpful (where language allows), particularly the lady who runs the pool bar.

Bars and restaurants are around, but need a little finding as they are spread along the main road in both directions. Lapta probably providing the best selection.

Car hire was arranged direct with Green Car Hire, next door to the hotel where the prices were reasonable and the vehicle was provided promptly with all requirements met after having made an e-mail request some time before arrival in Kyrenia.

If you stay at this accommodation and do not visit 'The Lodge' in Lapta, you are missing a real treat. Good food, served as generous portions with professional, friendly service at reasonable prices.

Ramol runs the retaurant side while Sunny runs the bar area, producin your favourite drink, both being supported by Ali and his staff in the kitchen.

We have just returned from a two week stay and in the main it was lovely. The weather was perfect with long sunny days, which we spent by the large pool. If you are going to stay here don't stay in the hotel room, numbered 101 to 110, the ones on the ground floor have balconies and only two on the next floor have one, the others are 'jullette' style. We felt that we were the forgotten few, the rooms were the last to be cleaned and on several occasions we would arrive back to find as late as 5.30 that the room was as we left it at 9.30am. One day non of the ten rooms had been touched. When we complained to either reception or the Manager we were told that they would see to it that our rooms would be cleaned first. Yes for a couple of days maybe, but then back to being done last or not at all and back to reception we would go and so it went on. The guests in the apartments couldnt understand what our problem was!

The breakfasts are a joke, ever tried COLD fried eggs, all joined together in a round like a large omelette with the yolks in, yuk. Apparantly the bit that keeps the eggs hot was broken and the new part was on order (3 weeks prior to our 2 week visit!!!!!). Although there was a
selection of cheeses, olives and salads this was never ever changed or added to. The best bit was the lovely fresh bread.

There was not one bit of entertainment in the evenings, despite what the brochure tells you, so the place was like a morgue as most of the guests go out to eat. There are plenty of restaurants within a dolmus ride and three or four within walking distance, take a torch as the road is busy and very dark.

The pool is lovely and large but we do question the cleaning of it, we only saw it cleaned once per week during our two week stay.

The staff work long hours and are in the main friendly and fairly 'cheerful', we spotted security cameras around the breakfast room, bar and pool bar and jokingly said was this to see what food we smuggled out to be told 'no the owner sits and watches what the staff are doing'. Lovely if it's true !!!!

This was our fifth visit to N Cyprus but don't think we would return to this hotel, there are much nicer ones around, not so much in the setup but what the Hotel has to offer it's guests.
