“Totally Amazing 5***** Cannot fault the place or the people...”

I visited the Almond in Kyrenia, Northern Cyprus in July 2011 and I was a little nervous with what to expect....on arrival with was amazed with the place....it is delightful and the setting is amazing, overlooking the blue sea and with a mountain backdrop! It is totally family run and they are great hosts - NOTHING is too much trouble! I liked it so much that I have re-booked to go back this year....it was so good in fact that I've also invited the mother in law!! ;-)))
We always had the breakfast and lunch at the villiage, sometimes we ate out in the evenings, but to be honnest food was brilliant, plenty of choice, speedy service with a smile and always fresh! A great night was 'Ali's BBQ' night where the owner of the villiage hosted a monster BBQ for the hotel guests....WOW WEE, thats all I can say.....
Seriously, cannot fault this place or the people running it....any negative reviews, my advice would be to IGNORE - you will not be dissapointed!

Room Tip: Rooms are great at the back of the villiage - behind the pool....

“Relaxing Holiday, Family run Hotel”

My family and I stayed here in late October. At this time of year the weather is still quite warm though the poll was a little too fresh for my childrens liking.
The hotel amenities are good and the villas very clean and comfortable. The Villa bathroom was a little basic but clean and adequate for a family holiday.
The restaurant had a good choice of fresh food cooked to a high standard. Breakfast was good. There are a number of restaurants close by within driving distance.
A car is essential if you are going to base yourself here, but you could get by with the Dolmus taxis if you do not want to bother. The location is semi-rural/Agricultural at the side of the coast road.
The pool bar was reasonable for snacks and good for drinks. The major plus about the Almond Holiday Village are the owners family and staff who run the complex. All are extremely helpful and pleasant. If I return to Northern Cyprus again I would definitely consider staying here again

“Probably the most well run 3* property in the world.”

I stayed half board with a friend and her parents and as a 3* hotel I cannot fault this place. The cleanliness, gardens and staff are in fact certainly 5*.

The food was good, although some dishes were not to my taste so I opted for the alternatives they offered. The food is of fantastic, fresh and local quality; not the awful factory processed microwaved slosh most large hotel chains serve up!

The ostrich in the back garden is absolutely adorable, along with the other animals it adds significant fun to the place. Waking up in the morning to the sound of nature with nothing artificial to be heard was amazing.

I found Kyrenia itself to be charming, it has so much rural beauty, and the people are very friendly - I never felt unsafe. There is lots to explore and the beaches are lovely.

The staff are endlessly helpful and entertaining, they really made the stay so much more enjoyable!

I would not recommend this place for stag or hen do's or anyone wanting a mental drunken holiday. Almond is very relaxed and more suited to those either wanting to explore Kyrenia, couples wanting a relaxing holiday or small families with well behaved children wanting a relaxing holiday.

I would also recommend going B&B as the breakfast is awesome but not half board as there are many restaurants in Kyrenia worth going to instead, but do eat in the Almond restaurant at least once as it is lovely!

Room Tip: We stayed at the back of the complex - closest to the ostrich and the mountains, lovely!

We have just had a weeks holiday at the Almonds in November, we have been coming to the Almonds for about 10 years in June for 2-weeks. It is run by Ali and Dervisha and their family you are always made to feel welcome and nothing is to much trouble for them.
The accommadation is excellant very clean, well decorated and furnished and the pool and surrounding area to die for lush gardens well cared for. Cheap car hire. The restaurant food is very good as good as any other restaurant in the area.
We booked Bed & Breakfast and the breakfast was excellant, very filling. Can't wait for this year's holiday at the Almonds.
