I will always stay at Bed & Breakfast Tuure whenever I visit Turku because of their professionalism and warm hospitality, the admin staff so respectful and punctual, very clean and everything is available i.e. house needed instruments, the service is free of charge, various types and dishes at breakfast, clean bathrooms and beds. Simply I would say: I felt that I am staying in my home

I like to stay in Tuure Bed and Breakfast for one night recently. Main advantage of this place is very good location for reasonable price as well as free Wi-Fi internet.

On arrival, we were not given the chance to put our bags down. We had to fill in a registration form and the proprietor then demanded full payment for our entire stay immediately before showing us the room - given the room, this may have been a tactical move in case we turned it down.

The bedroom was small and the single beds tiny; they were the size of children's beds. Breakfast was average but the cutlery and fruit were dirty, as was our tablecloth every day. When the orange juice ran out, this was not replaced; we had to ask for the coffee to be topped up.

The room was not cleaned or the beds made during our entire stay.

There were two pcs for internet use. Both were very slow and not in good order. One was held together by a plaster.

The most shocking thing, however, was the resident cat. The website shows a picture of the cat, so its presence was not unexpected. What horrified us most was finding opened cat food in the fridge every day and the cat's food bowls (in use) on the kitchen floor. Unopened cat food was stored under the sink. Clearly the cat was welcome in the kitchen, which, frankly, was too small for one person to cook in, let alone more. Also, when we arrived, the microwave was filthy, and it was disappointing to see that the owners did nothing to ensure that the place was clean for new arrivals.

Bed and Breakfast Tuure is cleaner and much less stressy than the Youth Hostel. It is also in a better location. The management is just lovely, and the breakfast room is very peaceful. It may be a bit more expensive because there are no dorms, I think. It is cheap however, and just right for basic accommodation. Turku > stay in Tuure.
