Upon our arrival, we were told that the free car park (they had advertised on their website) was full. We should've known that was going to happen as we arrived late and I had read from the previous reviews that you wouldn't necessarily be able to park there. The receptionist didn't seem to care much about our issue of not being able to park, but luckily we were able to park for free outside on the street until the morning.
The overall look of the room was pleasant, there was a huge fan in the ceiling, so air conditioning was covered, even though working out how to make it work was tricky. What was annoying was that the room was a bit stuffy and you weren't able to open the window for more than a crack. There were biscuit crumbs on one of the shelves, which was a bit off putting as this is a hotel, but the worst was our bathroom that stank of the sewer! Not a nice smell, I tell you. Other than that it was all pleasant.
The breakfast was what they advertised -Good and wide range on offer. Unfortunately, for some guests, they didn't check that the breakfast wasn't up 'til 10 am, like originally mentioned on their website, but to 9:30 am. By the time we got to the breakfast there were still things available, but within half an hour everything was pretty much vanished and the staff weren't really efficient to bring out new sets. Perhaps that was due to the fact it was late, but perhaps the hotel should be more accurate of the timetables.
Turku is a very nice city and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and next time probably will stay at Centro too or somewhere cheaper. Besides the crumbs and the sewer smelling bathroom, we had a pleasant stay for 106 euros.
