I stayed in the Mango Hotel in Tampere for 2 or 3 nights, and I have to say that I don't have many complaints about the hotel at all. The rooms were very cute and though a little small, they were very comfortable. The decor is darling, and antique-esque. You have your own private bathroom that is spotless (the room is too by the way), and hutches and such to store your clothing.
The thing to know about this hotel is that there is no front desk/reception process at all. As far as I know, all bookings are made online, and in your confirmation email, you get your room number, along with a keycode that will grant you access to the building and your room -- so don't lose them!!
The good thing to this system is that you don't have to check-in, sign, etc. So if you come in on a late flight, just catch a cab (around 20-25 euro from the airport to the hotel), use your code to get in and go right to your room.
The downside is that during the night, there is no hotel staff in the building, should you need anything. So basically it's like a home-away-from-home kind of thing. They are there all day, though, and prepare a free Scandinavian buffet-style breakfast, free of charge.
Another thing to know is that it is not in the center of town. I was car-less and wasn't staying long enough to get to know the Tampere bus routes, so we did have to walk to the centre, but don't worry, it's barely anything. A mere 10 minutes walk, once you know the way.
At 55 euro a night, it's quite good for a private room in Finland. I'd stay there again.
