We spent three nights here over New Year. The helpful and friendly receptionist offered us the choice between a twin room (slightly larger, with a bath) or a double room (smaller, no bath). We chose the
latter, and although the room wasn't enormous, it was quite big enough
for two people. The bed was very comfortable, and noise wasn't an issue: even though we were on the 1st floor, facing the road, we slept
well. The decor, staff and other services were all good. I would happily stay here again.
We were on a fairly cheap rate, which didn't include breakfast (€15, if you want it), but there are plenty of places not too far away where
you can get a decent breakfast for less money.
My one criticism is that the tea/coffee making facilities were a bit inadequate (no black tea, empty coffee packets left on the tray, slightly temperamental kettle), but that's fairly minor.
The location is not absolutely the most convenient, but it's not too far to walk to the centre of the city, and the hotel is very near the railway station (which was how we arrived).
Overall, a very enjoyable and relaxing stay: recommended.
