Nothing special. A reasonably comfortable room and an ok breakfast

A nice little hotel within walking distance from railway station and city center. I stayed with a friend during Tammerfest city festival. Our twin room was pretty standard - no highlights but no complaints either.
Breakfast was excellent, we especially enjoyed the waffles (you bake your own with an electric waffle maker) and fruit.
There are a couple of computers (with Internet connection) on the hotel lobby. Hotel guests can use these free of charge.

I would have rated this hotel "Very good" if only the room price had been a little bit lower. We paid more than in the bigger (chain) hotels in Tampere, and I don't think we really got anything extra for the extra money. Rooms, service, atmosphere and location are very much the same.

Also, the check-out time mentioned in our reservation confirmation was 12 (noon). When we checked in, the receptionist didn't make any remarks about check-out time. But we later noticed a notification on the wall that said during peak season (as in July) check-out time is 11 a.m. For some reason, this notification was placed near the elevators, not on the front desk. When we asked about this, the receptionist said it is "desirable" that we check out at 11. We showed her our confirmation and she admitted that noon is also "acceptable, if 11 is not possible".
I think they should mention the check-out time clearly when you make your reservation - especially if you are expected to check out earlier than the "standard" 12.

We needes a place to stay at for a night while visiting Tampere for a day. We chose the hotel for the value as we rather stay in small, personal places than in big expensive chains.
The hotel was ok, pretty small rooms, but clean, silent and well functioning. We happened to arrive on an extremely cold evening and were a little bothered by the loud heater. Othervise everything was ok. Staff friendly, breakfast good with a lot of variety and handy parking.

Spent two nights with my partner last weekend. Had asked for a quiet room and got one on the fifth floor at the end of the corridor.
Room nice an clean, beds were large and comfy, bathroom spacious. Very quiet, we couldn't hear any other guests in the hotel. Breakfast was typical buffet style, eat as much as you want. The only thing to remark about is the bacon and scrambled eggs, bacon was cooked too much and the scrambled eggs were made in the oven, like a panncake. But overall the breakfast was more than enough to eat, really nice.
Located near the rail station, convenient for travellers. Otherwise the area around the railstation isn't that nice, you see a lot of alcoholics around there, wouldn't like to walk around there by myself at night.
Tampere is a nice town, next time we'll probably live closer to the river as it is beautiful. But Victoria is a nice alternative, a bargain, especially if you're on a budget.
