Went to Tampere in business for stay of 5 days. Although rooms were small, not narrow, but very well equiped and very roomy. The hotel have a very nice location, with a pleasant view, exactly on the center of the town... It's a quite hotel, with very good high-speed internet access and confortable temperature always... the breakfast have always many things to choose, but there are not changes on it, of course we can change by ourselves how we want, but after two weeks looking at the same things day after day...hotel offers good well equipped gym, sauna and swimming pool in the basement on free of charge in room rate.

Good hotel to stay in ...

Stayed 2 nights in a standard room with 2 single beds. The beds were REALLY narrow, but I've found that to be the norm in Finland. The hotel has a great location right in downtown Tampere just off the main street and right on the Tammerkoski. The staff was pleasant and they offered a free breakfast buffet. We did not visit the hotel bar or restaurant (other than for the free breakfast), or use the sauna. Although the weather we had was very comfortable, I would note that the room we were in had operable windows. Apparently many rooms in Finland have fixed windows, which can be a problem during infrequent heat waves, so this might be a plus if you are planning a summer trip. The location is very convenient to the train station, about a 10-minute walk. We had no problems walkingbetween the train station and the hotel with our carry-on luggage (backpacks, basically), and I assume wheeled luggage would not be a problem, either. I would consider staying there again if visiting Tampere. Not sure if I would "recommend" it, as you can probably find similar accomodations and prices near by in newer facilities. We booked early and received a small discount.

Nothing great in terms of the rooms, but this hotel sits at a great location and the staff goes out of its way to make you feel welcome. The breakfast buffet is an eye-popper, but the scrum surrounding it is enough to make you lose your appetite. Tampere's a wonderful workingman's town, and we really enjoyed being there.

I stayed here for two nights. The hotel is right next to a local park which provides some nice relaxing benches when they're not occupied with lots of people. The people-watching from the terrace is good fun at the end of the day. I could tell the hotel is a little older, but it is well kept. The staff was very friendly and spoke English well. I had a "Superior" room, what ever that means, but it was big enough for me and the bed was comfortable. It got a bit warm in the evenings and opening the window wasn’t possible, but not enough for me to complain. The lifts can get congested and slow, but the stairs are easy to access. The morning breakfast had a large variety of cold/warm meats, cheeses, fruits, cereals, etc. Internet access was included in my rate. One morning we didn’t have water until about 7:15 AM but this was due to a local water outage, not the hotel. Depending on availability/pricing, I would stay here again.
