Also known as The Grand Hotel Tammer. Hotel is situated beside the river and park. Close to Tampere centre for shops and restaurants. Rooms small but adequate with modernised bathroom/toilets.
Did not eat in restaurant but breakfast is buffet style and very good

The Grand Hotel Tammer situates in beautifully renovated building in the center of Tampere. The building was built in 1929 and it has been working as a hotel ever since. Standard rooms are quite small but well-appointed. If you want more space take a superior room, and enjoy its pleasures like we did! The athmosphere of the hotel is warm, welcoming and friendly. The Breakfast is great. Hotel Tammer situates by the beautiful torrent of Tammerkoski and near the old factories where nowadays situates variety of cultural institutions like museums and theatres. We keep on choosing this hotel because it is excellent in many ways! We warmly recommend this hotel to you!

This hotel is also called Grand Hotel Tammer. The hotel was renovated in 2009. So toilets and showers are very good now. However, air-conditioning didn't work very well and rooms were hot when the outside temperature was +29 degrees Celsius. The building is historical (built in 1929) and very beautiful. The location is very good in the city centre of Tampere. That's why there is also a little bit traffic noise in rooms. The breakfast was very good, also local specialities, e.g. black sausage.

- after returning home the day after I dropped an email and I was adivised to contact a lost & found agency. The only contact was a phone number, which didn't work.
- I've contacted the hotel again and asked for an email adress or fax number, but got no answer.
- I've sended a reminder - no answer.
- I've tried to contact the hotel via the internet request form - no answer.
