I'm a member of Scandic's frequent guest programme, and whenever it's possible, I stay the night at Scandic Hotels. For business traveller, they usually are the best You can get (except Marski in Helsinki - avoid!). Reasonable pricing, all the basic amenities, pretty good food, peaceful location for a good sleep, and also the rewards for frequent guest are quite fine - 20% discount for food, 15€ to spend at restaurant for each night, Finnair bonus points, even free rooms every now and then...

Scandic in Jyväskylä just couldn't be better located. It's very near the walking district and the center, but just far enough to keep the Hotel quiet. Still it's withing walking distance to everything. Hotel is very easy to reach no matter where You come from, train station is very close and exhibition centre is not more than about 1 mile away. Rooms are basic, very clean, and the staff is very friendly. I like this Hotel very much, and whenever I visit in Jyväskylä, I'll stay there.

We've been visiting this hotel few times now and will return when next time in Jyväskylä. Location next to the walking district of central Jyväskylä is great. Gives you plenty of choice where to eat or drink. The hotel restaurant is nice, and food is ok. Unfortunately not one of the best Scandics in that regard. Nothing to complain about the complementary breakfast, though.

If you happen to visit during or just before the Jyväskylä rallye better book your room early in advance. A year back there was quite a lot of Citroen rallye team people staying in this hotel and we were here a week before the main event.

Free motorcycle parking was a nice touch.

The Jyväskylä Scandic delivered fairly good value for money at < 90€ p.n. While the hotel is getting old the rooms are still fairly ok and the staff firendly.

Food at the hotel's restaurant and speed of service might need some improvement though.

The pool is a nice plus.

This Scandic hotel offers nice, spacious rooms, at least if you take a deluxe room and not the standard one. Everything works well and reception staff is professional and friendly. I have stayed in this place for a few times and have nothing to complain. One of my favorites in this region.
