My room is adequate, but for 163 euros per night, I had expected something much better than just adequate. The room is small but not tiny, with a double bed, armchair and lamp, and a small desk with chair and desklamp. The furnishings and fixtures are of good quality but mid-range Ikea in aesthetic. There is a small closet, and a minimal amount of hanging space with four coat-hangers (plus an additional would-be hanging space that has no coat-hangers supplied because it's too narrow for them to fit). The bed is comfortable. The shower is separated from the rest of the bathroom only by the geometry of the room; there is no actual shower enclosure or shower curtain. However, a large floor squeegee is provided.
The room is fairly well (but not perfectly) soundproofed against the traffic of the street below. However, the wooden floors let you know exactly when the person upstairs moves a chair or returns to her room at 2 in the morning wearing high heels.
Amenities include a small safe (for which the English instructions are confusingly mistranslated*) and a minibar. Breakfast and medium-speed DSL Internet are included in the room price. The breakfast buffet is of fair to good quality and adequate variety.
Missing from the room, although I would have expected them to be included at this price, were facial tissues, a shaving / make-up mirror, a coffee maker, a plug in the handbasin, and a clock (although the television has a wake-up feature). Included in the room, although I would not have expected it at this price, was a TV remote control held together with duct tape.
*The phrase "push and button" should have said "Push the unlabelled white button hidden on the back of the safe door".
