This is a good example of its type. Looks a little like a 60s starship that put down by accident, and some refurb would be good. But comfortable, clean, friendly and helpful staff with an excellent breakfast.

The bathrooms are quite small (sharing a shower with the wife is a lot of fun) but what more do you need for a simple overnight? Booked via EasyJet and got a very reasonable price for the room, but we may have been lucky.

The staff I dealt with on reception on the evening of the 4th Jan. were very helpful, had all paperwork ready when we arrived, and couldn't do enough to make sure we were accommodated properly. They also assisted with bus timetables to get into Helsinki city centre and even suggested using the courtesy bus as an alternative to expensive taxis coming late back from the city centre - which worked! Checkout was equally easy and staff very helpful for local buses to Helsinki airport.

Booked this hotel directly after seeing an advert when we unexpectedly needed somewhere to stay the night before our flight home from Helsinki-Vantaa airport.

Pilotti was conveniently close to the airport and offered us transport there in the morning, but we didn't need it because we had a rental car. The staff was helpful and welcoming and the breakfast was OK.

What we didn't like very much was the room itself. The room was very small and reminded a simple cruise boat cabin. The bathroom was crammed and smallest I have ever seen in a hotel. We had room 151 which was at the beginning of a corridor and all guests on the ground floor walked past our room and slammed the entrance door at the same time. Quite a lot annoying noise also from the room above. All this made my night sleepless and me tired in the morning. My husband slept well with his earplugs though.

The room was not worth the €97 the hotel charged for one night and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who wants some comfort and a quiet night's stay.
