I use this hotel few times per year. Good basic hotel, very clean, good staff and vero good breakfast.

Normal Sokos Hotel quality. Nothing special, but everything runs as it is supposed to run.

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times. I had a superior room this time (on special offer!) and it was very nice.

I especially loved the small touch of two free bottles of water available. I also appreciated the fact that there were two pillows for each of us, usually I need to ask for a second pillow. Oh and there is ice available in the corridor, very nice! Last time we visited it was summer and very hot, it was very pleasant to get some ice in our soft drinks.

The room was spacious and everything was to my satisfaction except one thing: Why on EARTH is there no air conditioning??

Happily, I was able to open the window, so I did not melt during the night. Still, I do think it is very old-fashioned that you cannot decide the temperature of the room for yourself. Oddly, it seems all the hotels in Finland keep the rooms horribly hot day and night. As tourists visit the country a lot, and Helsinki especially, I really do think it is time to get some a/c put in!

Otherwise, a perfectly satisfactory stay.

Now I´ve tried the superior room I do think I am completely spoiled though, and a regular room will seem very small.... :O)

I stayed here for five nights on a business trip. It's a little way out of the city, about 10 minutes on the number 7 trams that leave from next to the hotel. The room I had on the fifth floor was spacious. It had two single beds, bar fridge, WiFi ironing board, lots of hangers etc. - very practically equipped for the traveller.
Breakfast was included and offered a wide choice of foods. There is a gym but it is very sparsely equipped, most gym junkies will be disappointed, but there are three squash courts. The restaurant food was surprisingly good and reasonable but the bar service was spasmodic as the reception staff are expected to cover this. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.
