was expecting more, especially after great experience with Scandic in Oslo. service is on a medium level. Location OK. too expensive for the offered services. free wifi, which was turnde off unexpectedly

I was only in Helsinki for a day and a half and the Scandic Simonkentta was much better than I expected. The room was a good size and very comfortable and clean. Very much a timber theme throughout. Good size bathroom, shampoo/shower gel supplied (on the wall). I was impressed with their attention to conservation hence the shampoo on the wall and not in individual bottles and a recycle bin in the room. The staff were very helpful. The hotel is a short walk from the train station although I didn't know that at the time and besides it was snowing very heavily. The most amazing buffet breakfast that I have ever laid eyes on, not just the quantity but also the variety. I would definitely stay there again. I also had a lunch and a dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed both meals.

This is a very proper and nice hotel if you plan a stay in Helsinki. Is in the middle of all shoppingarcades and 5 mins walk to railwaystation or airport buses.

The hotel is in the city center close to all the attractions but rooms are very small and the bathroom is clean but lacks basic amenities. The breakfast spread was good but the Finnish standards.

The rooms are so small that it is not meant for people coming with family. The TV is inconveniently located high on the wall which means that one cannot watch the TV without getting neck ache.
